Cataract Symptoms? ...are extreme headaches and fainting some of the symptoms?
What symptoms develop when you have a cataract in your eye? My eye doctor says I was born with cataracts, they were little but the one in my left eye seems to be getting bigger. I am VERY near sighted with astigatisim and now need bifocals. I see just fine when I wear my glasses. But aside from doctor doing more tests (which I really can't afford) What happens when the cataract gets too large?
What are the symptoms of cataract? how does one know if he / she has cataract?
I had cataract surgery (right eye) a week ago. Is it normal to have these symptoms? Eyeball feels unnaturally soft when I gently press on the lid especially on the top right side. I see flashes of light or pinwheels in the same area. The eye is still sore, especially when blinking. I have three eye drops (Acular, Ofloxacin anfd Pred Forte) the opthomologist gave me to use and I have been following his directions. I have an appointment to see him tomorrow, but I'd like some info beforehand. Thank you.

my mother has a cataract? :O ? my mom suddenly started complaining (an hour ago) of blurry vision from her left eye, mild headache, and an inability to discern between two colors. She also claims that she can't see anything that's not directly in front of her eye; she has no peripheral vision. she seems to have some symptoms of a cataract, but i may be wrong. actually, i HOPE i'm wrong, because cataracts are BAAAD NEWS. if it's not, what could possibly be wrong with her?!?!?!??!?! AHHHH.
About CATARACT..? What is "Cataract"? What are the symptoms? Why does it occur? What are the treatments and precautions for this disease? Can it be cured?
Is it worth to have my 13 yo dog undergo cataract surgery? My 13 year old mini Daschund has been diagnosed diabetes about a month ago and is now practically blind from cataracts. She's been treated like a real part of the family for quite a while; in fact, I can't remember what my life was like before we got her (I was 5 or 6) and It breaks my heart to see her bump into things or going past us without realizing we're there. It's like she's not the same anymore (even at her age, she'd run like hell after a ball and behave as if she was 3). Point is, we want to do everything we can to at least restore some of her sight, so she can see us, see where she is and where to go, so she can be herself again. We've heard that cataract surgery is quite expensive (around $2000 or more), but again, we'd do anything for her. My concern are the risks involved. She has a minor heart condition, but has no symptoms whatsoever. It's always a tough decision to make: leave it as it is or risk things and give the dog a better life. What would you do?... Obviously, I know that 13 isn't that old for the breed. She's quite small, and, under normal circumstances, they're due to live up to 18 or so.
No, I didn't eat junk organic food. Yes, I ate a varied organic diet. Vitamin deficiences/symptoms ... No, flossing would not help as I had a root die and infection as below the gum line. (had root canal and crown done A chronic infection coursing through your veins is disastrous especially after 6 years.. I am deficient in vitamins A, B, C, D, E and more. Does anyone have any actual experience in this without guessing? After a few months, my levels came up to barely normal in A, B, D. Then I stopped taking A and the symptoms returned: heart palpitations, bi gemeni, sick at my stomach, blurred vision (even after cataract surgery.replacements..)and low blood sugar (down to 40), extreme itching if ate more than 10 carbs in one day. (not thyroid - TSH etc normal, no fungus) No, low blood sugar did not cause vitamin deficies, however, low blood sugar was a symtpom of vitamin deficiences. After taking A again, my symptoms disappeared. I am taking lots of organic vitamins. ... Has anyone had any actual experience or read anything factual about the above? No guesses, please.
How do I know if I have Congenital Rubella Syndrome? I do have congenital cataracts, as well as hypothyroid. some other neurological symptoms began 10 years ago that doctors could find no answer to.
Problems with my dog. Need some help (Diabetes?)(Symptoms here)? Just last night, and throughout the day today, I have had some big time problems with my dog. She is a 9 year-old female, she's a Golden Retriever. She is a bit overweight for her body size. Symptoms: -Loss of sight - This is a bit inconsistant. At times she will run into things, but at times she will know where she is going. I have researched this, and have found that cataracts can occur extrememly quick without insulin. ( At times, she can see the color red) -Lethargic - She doesn't really want to interact with anyone. She will come at times, wanting to be stroked. She basically has just been laying around. -Loss of appetite - Hasn't eaten anything over the past 1 and a half days. She will drink a bit of water, but I will need to personally give it to her from my hand. The vets in my area are closed this weekend and have pointed me to an animal hospital and hour away. I want to know if I can wait, and if I can, what do I feed her, do for her, etc. Thanks for all help!

Uneven dilation of eyes * Cataract * Seizures * Headache Questions????? My husband had cataract surgery at a young age (36) just about 1 year ago. Over the course of the year, every so often he will have a small seizure like symptom were he blacks out for a few seconds. He has been fighting headaches which he describes as an (ice cream) headache...quick, intense pain. He can go weeks without a problem or days, it just depends. This past week we are noticing the post cataract eye pupil will enlarge and the normal eye will constrict and even appear saggy or lazy. Both eyes are affected at the same time and it will last various periods of time. Any input, suggestions or thoughts? THANK YOU!

Mild Multiple Sclerosis or just small things? Here are some symptoms (some of these may not be relevant): By the way I am young male, in HS. Blackouts - couple a day. Sometimes I instinctively bend over from dizziness to regain balance and sight. They seem to be more noticeable when I wear contact lenses. Eyesight - My glasses are 850 (short sighted) and I have myopia. Sometimes I have eye movements possible considered nystagmus (I don't really know) but this doesn't happy daily so it doesn't affect me much. In the morning I always have to wash out my eyes; firstly because of eye secretions when I sleep and secondly (possibly the same reason) I seem to have a cataract effect where one or both eyes have cloudy vision (I'm not sure what a cataract exactly is like). Paresthesia - I'm not sure if this is the exact sensation which feels like there is an electric pulse through my limbs feel, like they are shaking even if they are stationary. This sensation is pretty rare anyway. Immune system - Not that powerful but does the job. I suffer from hay fever. Sleep - Probably irrelevant, but I toss and turn and am never in a good position. Hands: Occasionally I have short moments where I cannot control my hand(s) and it shakes even though I try to control it. I find the only way to stop this is by putting it in another position. This doesn't happen often, but there's a similar situation that I am sort of worried about: In the chemistry lab, my hands shake rather violently when I use a dropper or a spatula to transfer into a test tube. I can't seem to control it; it's not just a thing about potentially dangerous chemicals: my hands shake even when transferring salt! Muscle spasms - or so I think it is. During sleep or going into an awkward position with legs (I am very inflexible) occasionally my right leg tenses up on the underside of the knee and gets tighter and tighter. When I bend my knee the pain stops but will continue afterwards unless I slowly stretch out my leg and keep it there. Here are some other symptoms I guess might apply to me, but they probably are also present in LOTS of people without MS: Depression - I think this is just my personality Speech - I'm not great at speaking, get caught up even in casual speech. Once again I think this is just a normal lack of fluency. Fatigue - Maybe. Some people just feel tired all the time I guess Bowel function - Could be better.
distemper signs and symptoms? my friends dog has a bad cough, then gags, with a dry heave, i first thought he had heart worms, but now am not so sure, in the last 5 days his eyes are blue, like cataracts and he cant see he is not as spunky as he used to be, seems a little unsteady, and his cough and gagging is getting worse, he is about 6 months, my friend has never gotten him any shots, does distemper cause sudden blindness? or could this be a different disease? thnx
Eye flashes when relaxed? Just wondering. I'll be lying there in bed, relaxed, and trying to go to sleep. When I close my eyes and let myself doze off, I get the eye flashes. Every time. I can do it over and over again. Eventually they go away when start to sleep. Would this be the vitreous releasing the pull on my retina since there is a sudden release of pressure (which therefore creates the "flashes")? Or would this be a symptom of retinal detachment? Some other details: I'm 15. I am -2.75 for Myopia. I've got Congenital Cataracts. I'm hypoglycemic. No, I do not smoke crack, thanks Garcia.
prednisone for crohn's disease? I know someone who has taken prednisone for 37 years and is now experiencing symptoms (cataracts, osteoporosis). He says that he will go into Addison's Crisis if he cuts the prednisone back too much because the adrenals have "shut down". Does anyone know how to deal with this kind of problem? he's currently on 8mg
Is my writing good? Cigarettes should be illegal –Paper Cigarettes are killing more and more people each year. That is why to save the world and the people in it, cigarettes should be illegal. Cigarettes are killing people all the time; it kills 276,000 men in the US each year and 142,000 women in the US each year. Banning cigarettes will stop second hand smoke; stop pollutes to earth, and stops the many deaths due to smoking. Cigarettes should be illegal! Every year someone makes a decision to smoke and they are not risking just their lives but the lives of people around them. Secondhand smoke is another health risk due to smoke from cigarettes. Non smokers who are exposed to secondhand smoke increase their risk of lung cancer by 20% to 30%. It is unfair to put other people to risk when the choice of smoking is on someone else. Secondhand smoke does not just affect grown adults but it also affects young children, studies show that secondhand smoke causes repertory symptoms to children and slows down their lung growth. Even people with heart problems have a higher risk of heart disease. Many people are at risk from secondhand smoke and they can not escape it unless we ban cigarettes. Secondhand smoke exposure causes approximately 3,400 lung cancer deaths and 22,700–69,600 heart disease among non smokers in the United States. Secondhand smoke can come from a lot of places in your home for instance vents under walls and doors , secondhand smoke is a lot closer then you think and we could get rid of secondhand smoke and all the deaths from it. Cigarettes are polluting the earth each day due to the smoke it produces. Smoking produces carbon, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, and methane into the air which contributes to Global Warming. We are emitting gases that are affecting the earth. The pesticides used in cigarettes hurt’s the earth’s ozone layer which increases radiation exposure, which therefore means more skin cancer , eye cataracts, and suppression of the immune system. Every day when someone lights a cigarettes it is damaging the earth and the pesticides in the cigarette are hurting the ozone layer. This is why cigarettes should be illegal so they don’t damage the people in the earth and the earth itself. Cigarettes are being littered all over the ground every day, starting a lot of pollution to the areas around us including beaches, sidewalks, gardens, and other public areas. It was estimated that several trillion cigarettes butts were littered worldwide every year. Cigarettes are the most littered item in America! The toxic residue in cigarettes is damaging the environment. Plus some cigarettes thrown on the ground cause many fires, some very serious that we see today. Cigarettes are not biodegradable and so smokers do not realize the problems they are making when they toss a cigarette down. Birds, Fish, whales, and marine creatures have mistaken cigarettes for food and are being found in their stomachs. Animals are mistaking cigarettes for food and are eating toxic cigarettes. Once cigarettes are thrown on the ground the wind usually carries the cigarette into the water supply affecting the quality of the water and the life form in it. Trillions of cigarette butts add up each year creating an unsafe environment. Many people smoke every day, and do not think it is a bother to anyone. With many PSA’s and health notices they do not care about the risk’s they have to their body, but there is more then there selves they are hurting they are hurting the lives of people who are around them, the earth, and the areas around such as beaches, ocean, gardens, and many places. So when you say you are only hurting yourself smoking you are wrong because smoking affects a lot more people then just you. It affects the whole world; with more and more smoker it is creating one big problem. So if you argue about smoking not affecting a lot of people only your self you are wrong because smoking affects a lot of people and smokers should be aware of that and the risk’s they are willing to take for everyone. From this essay you should know the risks cigarettes make for instance, people around you, and the earth. So before you pick up a cigarette know the dangers it is making to everyone, and hopefully cigarettes will be banned so know one has to suffer from secondhand smoke, and the earth does not have to put in danger. That is why cigarettes should be illegal; we would be a lot better earth knowing we don’t have a problem like cigarettes in our lives.
Question about Wilson's Disease? I'm wanting other people's opinion, especially any medical people. I'm wondering if it would be goofy of me to ask to be tested for Wilson's Disease. I don't think I have the rings they talk about(do you have to?), but below are my symptoms and my parents. my symptoms anemia enlarged liver-seen on cat scan-might be reidels lobe mild fatty liver-seen on cat scan high ast and alt muscle weakness tingling in feet and hands digestive problems-constipation fibromyalgia nightvision problems-problems with bright lights memory problems very itchy legs weight gain father-parkinsons symptoms,gait,anxiety,constipation-his parkinsons isn't really major shakes even after 10 years of having it. mom-severe insomnia, kidney stones, anxiety, constipation, ostioperosis, nightvision problems, memory problems, weight gain, macular degeneration, cataracts, glaucoma. If not Wilson's, what might I get checked for? I've had a hepatitis test and that was negative. My liver isn't inflamed, so I don't think that is it. I don't think it's scarred either.
ERU-equine recurrent uveitis.? my horse was being transported when he was just a foal, and his past owners had tied a rope around his neck and knocked him out, not once, but twice. i was reading in Equus magazine an article. my horse is believed to have "moon blindness". he has a LOT of trouble seeing at night. we spoke to his vet, and he believes that my colt may have cataracts. in Equus they state that Appaloosa's have a more persistent uveitis. they say its not as painful, and it doesnt inflame as much. also, there is less tearing.. all of these symptoms explain my horses symptoms. is there a possibility that my colt has ERU?
Please tell me facts about cataracts? I have a very close relative who is having vision problems. I'm not sure if its cataracts or not. Only one eye is affected. The center of his pupil is whitish in color. The white patch does not fill his whole pupil but only 3/4 of it. The symptoms have been going for a year or so. I heard that eye is now blinded. The doctors he has been to did not tell him to go for surgery or whatever. Is it cataracts? Is that eye permanently blind? Can anything be done about it? Will his other eye be affected? Is the blindness caused by phacomorphic glaucoma? What are the VISIBLE symptoms of cataracts? I want to take note as to whether I have these symptoms too. Please answer all my queries and give additional information. I'm really worried. Thank you.
What gender and age fancy rat should I get? I had 2 female fancy rats, 3 1/2 years old. I had to put one of them to sleep this morning...i'm still crying :( Now that 1 female is left all alone, I am thinking about adopting another one to keep her company. However, there are some considerations I need to take when deciding what kind of rat to bring home to be her new companion. She is old, and beginning to show symptoms of hind leg paralysis (i can see she is having trouble with her back legs, dragging them slightly). Her sister that I had put to sleep had also had this. She has cataracts in one eye, and so has limited vision. A few months ago, I downsized their cage from a 3 story "condo" to a large single level cage to make it easier on them. So I was thinking a "lazy" adult (fixed) male would be good, since their activity level might be along the same lines, rather than a young one with lots of energy. But I don't know. What do you think? She is very sweet, active, and playful. Never bites, never aggressive. She has grown up with her sister, and has not been with any other rats since they were weaned from their mother over 3 years ago.
A Doctor for Everything that pieces the puzzle together? I have Crohn's. Now due to the medicine side effects I also have Cataracts and Osteoporosis. Also possibly due to my meds, my weakened immune system has allowed skin cancer Melanoma. I've had Neodosum?, Arthritis, bloodshot eyes, and more all connected to either the Crohns or the meds. Whenever something new pops up, I dont know if its connected, dont know what Dr. to see. Is there a specialist other than a Gastroenterologist that can figure me out and all my symptoms, and get me back into good (somewhat) health and help ensure I dont end up with more problems down the road? A diagnostic specialist (if thats what they're called)? Maybe they can review all my symptoms, find out what I'm missing (nutrition-wise), and stop the path of illness that I'm heading down before I turn into a hypochondriac or dead.
Is blurry vision normal after conjunctivitis? Dog has sudden Cloudy eye? My dog a male large toy poodle, has always had bad tear stain issues, Ive brought him to the vet an everything was ruled out and it was concluded it was allergies.. they get a lil better and worse during different seasons. He is a white dog. The staining does not bother him... Ive noticed over the last year he has being increasingly crabby/moody and aggressive tords the other two dogs. He prefers to sleep alone verses on the bed like he used to... once and a while he gets warm ears... I noticed today when I came home his eyes were cloudy... like cataracts one is 50% covered and the other is 20%... the whites are a little red as well. no other symptoms other then the crabby and warm ears... I dont think its cataracts... my other dogs are not sick... any ideas? Dogs recently had ear mites and had first treatment... any vets out there help would be appreciated... I cannot afford to visit the vet for 10 days... however i will call vet and ask about playment plan tomorrow... yes I will do what I can, and call around to other vets... but I cannot MAKE them treat my animal without payment.., I have nothing until payday... nor no one to borrow money from... so don't go there people... Ive already thought out that route
could somebody check spelling and grammar in this paper.? The Bhopal Disaster took place in December 3, 1984 in Bhopal, India. Disaster was caused by the release of 27 tonnes of methyl isocyanate (MIC) gas from a Union Carbide India Limited, pesticide plant owned by Union Carbide. Union Carbide had 14 factories in India, one of them was in Bhopal. At night of Dec. 2nd and 3rd, 27 tons of the deadly gas methyl isocyanate began leaking. There was no warning, none of the six safety systems were working. People woke in their homes to fits of coughing, their lungs filling with fluid. People woke up screaming in pain. Deadly gas was dusting their eyes. They couldn’t breath, they were choking in blood. They weren’t able to control their bladders. After several hours there were thousands of dead bodys on the streets. Breathlessness, persistent cough, diminished vision, early age cataracts, loss of appetite, menstrual irregularities, recurrent fever, back and body aches, loss of sensation in the limbs, fatigue, weakness, anxiety and depression are the most common symptoms among survivors. The alarming rise in cancers, reproductive health problems and others such as growth retardation among children born after the disaster remain undocumented. Aziza Sultan „At about 12.30 am I woke to the sound of my baby coughing badly. I saw that the room was filled with a white cloud. I heard a lot of people shouting. I started coughing with each breath seeming as if I was breathing in fire. My eyes were burning too.” “People were dying on the streett! It was horrible!” How many thousands of people? no one knows. Carbide says 3,800. Municipal workers who picked up bodies with their own hands, loading them onto trucks for burial in mass graves or to be burned on mass pyres, reckon they shifted at least 15,000 bodies. Survivors, basing their estimates on the number of shrouds sold in the city, conservatively claim about 8,000 died in the first week. Such body counts become meaningless when you know that the dying has never stopped. Pople left the city. They waited, and when the clouds of deadly gas gone, they come back. Every plant in this city was poisoned. Environs was covered by hundreds of tonnes of toxic waste. Environmentalists have warned that the waste is a potential minefield in the heart of the city, and the resulting contamination may lead to decades of slow poisoning, and diseases affecting the nervous system, liver and kidneys in humans. Studies have shown that the rates of cancer and other ailments are higher in the region since the event. In a partial settlement with the Indian government, agreed to pay out some $470 million in compensation. The victims weren’t consulted in the settlement discussions, and many felt cheated by their compensation -$300-$500 - or about five years’ worth of medical expenses. Today, those who were awarded compensation are hardly better off than those who weren’t. The Indian goverment charged Union Carbide but nobody was convicted. Bhopal haven’t been cleaned up yet. If we don’t wont such accidents as in Bhopal we must take care of those factories which use dangerous chemicals. And turn one’s attention to those problems.

Eye problems, starbursts, 21 years old? Ok, so I am 21 years old, and since about May, I had begun to experience starbursting, ghosting, and shadows around lights, whether it be the TV, digital clocks, or bright streetlights. I went to an eye doctor a month ago and she said, after hearing my symptoms, that she saw a tiny amount of cataract forming, but it was so small that if I hadnt described my symptoms, she would not have even seen it. She said there was nothing I could do, and that it would be several decades before it gets worse enough to have surgery. I dont trust her and I am totally freaked out by this, especially being how young I am. I started taking these NAC drops that are supposed to dissolve cataracts and lubricate. Any help on my eye problem? could it be anything else? Note- I have very large pupils, if that helps. Thanks
Guinea pig with Pneumonia? My guinea pig is less than 1 year old. He got sick 2 days ago and I believe he had Pneumonia with symptoms like anorexia, lethargy, cataracts in both eyes, and breathing hard. We took him to the Vet and they said we should let him stay at the hospital for 3 days so they could monitor and give him treatment. It would cost us about $1000+ so we decided to bring him home and give him Tetracycline instead. He's been on antibiotic for 3 days now but shown no improvement since we don't know how much medicine we should give him or if Tetracycline is the right antibiotic or not. He's been suffering from pain, not eating and just layed down at the corner of the cage and moaned...Should we give him euthanasia (putting to sleep)? We love him and don't want to lose him nor make him suffer anymore. Please advise.
does anyone know anything about allergiclear, all natural allergy relief. Or anything about supplements in it? AllergiClear contains the following natural ingredients: Quercitin is a well known flavonoid, usually found mostly in onions and apples and is considered to be a 'building block' for other flavonoids. Flavonoids are important and powerful anti-oxidants found in fruits, vegetables and herbs and can also reduce inflammation, boost immunity, strengthen blood vessels and improve circulation. Quercitin is known for its ability to block the release of histamine, thereby preventing allergy symptoms like swollen nasal passages, congestion, sneezing, watery eyes and itchiness in eyes and nose. Other benefits include reduced risk of heart disease, stroke and cataracts, anticancer properties and the ability to promote stable blood sugar levels. Euphrasia officinalis (Eyebright) has been used since the Middle Ages to reduce eye inflammations. It may be used topically, but is very beneficial taken internally to reduce watery, painful and itchy eyes caused by colds and allergies. Other benefits include the maintenance of good vision and eye health. Arsen Alb. C15 - a proven homeopathic remedy for a variety of conditions, including inflamed and stinging eyes, sneezing and hayfever. other benefits include improvement in eczema, headaches and general restlessness. Nat. Mur. D6 - a biochemic tissue salt which has an excellent effect in reducing and preventing runny nose, hayfever and other conditions linked to inflamed and watery mucus membranes. Other benefits include promoting feelings of well being and reducing anger and irritability. Kali Mur. D6 - a biochemic tissue salt with a wonderful soothing decongestant and anti-inflammatory effect, helping to prevent the secondary infections of allergic rhinitis (sinusitis, bronchitis and other respiratory tract infections). Regular use of Kali Mur is also beneficial in improving liver functioning, as a glandular tonic and to strengthen blood and nerve tissue.
Aside from Alzheimers what other diseases can cause memory...? Aside from Alzheimers what other diseases can cause memory loss, confusion, and other symptoms typically associated with Alzheimers? My Aunt had a cataract surgery 1 month ago, about a week later she just stopped functioning normally. She thinks her things are vanishing, and that she is invisible, but her stuff is really there and I can see her. She is not crazy, or having any difficulty with motor skills, she seems aware that she has something wrong, but like us and her Doctors, can't pin point it. Cat Scan is negative for stroke, and Spinal Tap is negative for any infection in the spinal fluid/brain. I thought she might have got the Optic nerve infected, but I guess the Spinal Tap ruled that out... I have never heard of Alzheimers just hitting someone so suddenly. One day she was at work, the next day she thought her car had dissappeared. Any help?
could I be developing cataracts? Something has been going on with my eyes for the last several months and I'm worried I may be developing cataracts. My vision seems to be getting progressively dimmer, like I need more light to read or do other things. I see intense halos of light around things that emanate light. I have ghosting vision in one eye. My vision worsens when I read after short periods.I thought my eyes may be just dry at first but I've tried several brands of eye drops with no preservatives and none of them relieve my symptoms. Anyone have experience with this? I am only 20 years old by the way.
my Father not seen Doc in 30+yrs!Eye redness,, around eye lids; read on pleaz.? my Father will not go to a Doc nor eye Doc & has lost most of his vision! age 82; only med's: one 323 mg. aspirin per da. for last few? yrs. only; his Father died with emphesema; my Father has never smoked cig's nor anything else & never consumed alcololic beverages; his health has seemed to always been pretty good, except for above problems & arthritis ? in knees or feet it seems as he limps. I, nor my Mom, nor my siblings cannot persuade him to go to a Doc nor eye Doc. I am so worried; he has already stopped Driving; he's always been a Farmer. my question: is his symptoms (eyes) of mascular degeneration OR glaucoma OR cataracts OR EVEN eye cancer; if his eyes hurt, he does not mention that to anyone (i'm afraid they might); he does not have much memory loss (dementia nor Alzhemiers --as my Mother does.. Dad has gall-bladder removed apx. 30 yrs. ago.
I am seeing halos around lights, white splotchy vision? It is only affecting the right eye and only when I wake up for a few hours and maybe a little before I go to bed. There is sometimes pain involved when moving my eye upward, this is rare. The other symptoms are general photophobia, halos around lights (close lights look like one large light), occasionally some redness in the white of the eye. For most of the day there are no symptoms at all and my vision is perfect. I do not wear contacts. What could be the culprit causing the morning symptoms but having none later in the day? Sinus problem, diabetes, a cataract, blood pressure, glaucoma, any ideas? Do cataracts ever cause pain and would the symptoms only be present in the morning hours? Could the symptoms of CMV retinitis occur only in the morning hours and clear during the rest of the day?
What is this thing floating in my cat's eye? My cat has this white thing floating around in her eye. It dosent seem to hurt or bother her in any way, and she has sight in it. She is around 1 year and a few months old, and i know it is not a cataract, because it literally moves around when she blinks or looks around. But its UNDERNEATH the eye, like in the fluid part, because when she turns to the side, you see the eye, the fluid stuff, the white thing, then the outside of the eye. Does anyone know what this might be? It's also shrinking. It got kinda big, then the vet gave me some drops to put in her eye, and everyday since it's gotten smaller. He thinks it's FIP but she dosent have symptoms............ Oh yea, I forgot to mention, she is an indoor only cat in a single cat household. She's our only baby. One more thing, to the person who said it might be medication, I just gave her Advantage Flea medicine on Tuesday the 21rst, and the white thing popped up on Wednesday the 22nd. Could the Advantage cause the white floaty thing?
Congential eye abnormalities with Bulldogs? Someone I know recently purchased 4 Bulldog females, 3 are littermates and 1 is a half sibling to the others. The 3 are around 2 1/2 years old. My question is about eyes in this breed. Are there any congenital eye problems with this breed that could be causing these symptoms in the dogs? All have what appear to be lesions on the eyes. They look like the color of a cataract would but raised on top of the eye itself. The one that I just saw, I know can not see by her behavior. She has this in both eyes, but the one eye also has a growth coming off the eye the size of a raisin right now. It is the same color as the lesion on the eye, light bluish looking cloudy. It almost looks like what a dog with Pannus can get, but I am not sure if it is Pannus or not. She is taking them in to a vet opthamologist. 3 of them have already had repair for cherry eye. There does not seem to be a problem with entropian with this one girl. Just weird. Bahahaha! LOL with the Lightning statement. Well, I told her that the person that she bought the dogs from knew something was wrong as she did not pay a lot for these dogs. I would never of gotten one period myself. The one I saw the other day has such a great temperment and personality! I don't really care for that breed, but would take her in as a housedog here. LOL Her temperment is probably somewhat related to her lack of vision. A 50 pound lap dog would just be a little much. LOLOL

Was the marijuana treating my eyes? I went to the eye doctor the other day because the past week, my eye has been messing up. By messing up i mean out f my left eye my vision was foggy, bright, and i could see a pulsing eye floater. Over a month ago i stopped smoking marijuana. The doctor told me that i have a cataract and it might be glaucoma, I had extremely high eye pressure in my left eye (which i had a retinal detachment 6 or 7 years ago). So, he gave me some drops in order to reduce the eye pressure and see if that helps i go back in, in a week. I stopped smoking marijuana because i got caught and now i have to take random drug tests. Since i got caught i have doing TONS and TONS of research into marijuana. In my research i found out that marijuana may be used as a treatment for glaucoma and also reduces your eye pressure 20-30 percent. I am a junior in high school and has been smoking since my freshmen year. I went to the eye doctor my sophmore year and they did not find anything wrong besides the normal stuff associated with the retinal detachment like scarring. could me stopping smoking brought on the symptoms?
Min Pin eye problems? I have a Miniature Pinscher and we think he is 6 years old. He was a show dog and he came from a breeder I trust, so I'm assuming all of his paper work is in order. However, we think he might have cataracts which would be odd at such a young age. My vet also said it could be glaucoma but I did some research and it looks more like cataracts. Obviously I don't know much about what it looks like, and what to look for, but I looked at many different sites and pictures and it just looks like cataracts to me. His parents do not have any eye problems that might cause this to happen early so I don't think that it was passed down genetically. The other odd thing is that at 6 years old, his face is already almost completely white. I have seen many 6 year old Min Pins and they don't look like he does. So either he's just different, or he's older and his eyes are just deteriorating from old age. So here's my question after the very long (so sorry) background history. Are cataracts normal at any age for Min Pins? Do their faces gray at different ages? Does it sound like his symptoms normal for him? P.S. I have an appointment with an ophthalmologist on Friday, but I would like to have some input and other ideas before I take my dog in. Whatever has affected his eyes has in fact affected both eyes. His left is worse than his right though.
Is that cataracts. What are the symptoms? My mom told me that she is seeing "worm-like" black shadows every now and then. I am worried that she might develop cataracts. And her vision is deteriorating too. Is that possible when she is about the age of 50 ?
