Vision still blurry after Lasik. What are the chances they messed up? I had Lasik 3 weeks ago and it became inflamed. I had to go back a week ago so they could lift the lens and clean underneath. Has anybody had the laser eye surgery done at LASIK Vision Institute in Houston, TX? If so, how was your experience. I went to an appointment with them yesterday and they seemed to be great, but the thing that amused me was the price because it was so cheap. I know that the prices have dropped but I've been shopping around and they are between $4000 and $5000 for both eyes, and they only charged me $2,700 with a lifetime insurance for BOTH eyes, which is GREAT and I'm really excited about it, but know I'm wondering if they are good enough. I have a friend who lives in Dallas and she had in done 2 months ago, she paid $6,500. So, does anybody know if they are reliable and if LASIK Vision Institute is a safe place for that kind of surgery??
Can I have LASIK eye surgery to correct vision problems caused by an eye injury? When I was 12 years old I was hit in the eye by a wooden stick. It wasn't a serious injury, but I had to wear a patch for about a week. I think something was scratched?? Now my vision is about 20/70 and really washed out in that eye. Of course I will have consultations with a doctor before the procedure so if that is your answer don't bother. I just want to know whether I'm wasting time even having a consultation. how to cure double vision that suffered from lasik eye surgery? My dad had lasik eye surgery about two years ago, and he has double vision since the second week after the surgery. (he never had double vision before the surgery) The doctor who did the surgery for my dad couldn't find a way to cure my dad's double vision. My dad went to see a different doctore, but still no postive answer. Right now my dad still wears glasses and sees double. He is a very busy man, I hope i can find a way to help him out. Did anyone else have less than perfect vision after Lasik? After 6 months I had a slight astigmatism on my left eye. I'm not going to do the surgery again, it's just not worth it to me to risk the infection. Is there no way to correct post-Lasik dim vision ? I was told a re-do with wave-front tech is 50-50 and no glasses or contacts would help.
I HAD LASIK 10 DAYS AGO and my vision is STILL BLURRY? I am a little freaked out here so I am hoping to hear from others who have had LASIK. I use all the eye drops (Pred Forte and artificial tears), but my vision is still blurry although better than before. My up close vision is blurry too. So, has anyone had LASIK and had not so good results? Did you get better with time. I am scared. Please only reply if you have had LASIK. I have gone back to the doctor twice. They gave me more eyedrops and say "dry eye." I was told that some people take longer than others. Some see the next day. Some take 2-3 weeks. I don't have any halos. Just blurriness up close and far away. I was -3.00 in right eye and -3.75 in left eye. I was 20/200 before (I think). I've heard success stories from people with much worse vision than me.
After 3 lasik custom vues, what are the chances PRK will fix the double vision that lasik caused? My astigmatism was the cause caused some distortions in my left eye. After seeing multiple doctors, Lasik Custom Vue appeared to be the best option. All doctors I saw said I was a candidate. After the 1st surgery from my referred 1st Doctor, the vision became blurry. The doctor seemed baffled, so I switch to a more reputable doctor. He proceeded to give me a surgery after an appointment with Stanford's University Director of Opthamology. Both agreed I could be operated on again. I didn't see much improved(from my perspective) The vision went to double accompanied by light sensitivity and blurriness. The doctors reviewed my post-op condition and agreed that another operation could help. After my 3rd surgery, The vision seemed equally bad and the double vision almost seemed like triple at some points. Now, the doctor says that the results from lasik aren't working and he thinks I should try PRK. I am worried that PRK won't be able to correct the double vision that Lasik created!!

After LASIK, how long does it take for the fuzzy, blurry vision to go away? I had the surgery 6 days ago and my vision is still as if I were looking at things under water.
I had Lasik 3 days ago and still have hazy vision - has anyone had this problem? The doc at the surgery center upped my anti-inflammatory but no change. He says it is corneal edema (swelling) and it will go away in a week. My local doctor is concerned and wants to see me today about it. Would appreciate hearing anyone's experiences on this. Now it's been 5 days...no change. Any idea when I can expect some improvement?

After Lasik eye surgery, can your vision still worsen? If you're nearsighted, you get Lasik and you're vision goes back to 20/20, can your eyes still get worse later?
After LASIK, not sure whether or not vision will sharpen/improve.? I had LASIK procedure done three weeks ago and I see much better now than I did, except that it doesn't appear to be clear 20/20. My vision just seems to be ever-so-off. I know that at night ghosting and all of that is normal, but during the day the definition of things fluctuates. It's good enough to see without glasses, but again the definition isn't as sharp. Is this a problem that corrects itself or do I need to have something changed.

After Lasik surgury on eyes have you heard of loose skin in eye so vision is not clear? My vision is what it was before surgury and I am told it will get better. I have been wearing a patch on the eye for 4 days out of 7. Has anybody had this same reaction? There is no pain just not good vision. I know of 10 people that has had this same lasik and I am the only one with this condition. I just keep putting more drops that the Dr. gave to me and keep hoping it gets better.

I had lasik 2 weeks back. My right eye is still hazy. What can i do to improve my quality of vision? My doctor told its epithelium complication which can develop in many people. I can read only first 3 lines in the eye chart with my right eye. There is also a small bulge or unevenliness in the cornea (when seen in mirror). Blurred vision after LAsik? I went for eye checkup after one month of lasik surgery on 14/3/2007. Now, my right eye is 6/6 vision. Left eye is -0.5. Before lasik both the eyes have -4 power. Still i am seeing blurred vision only. While lubricating with drops i am able to see clear vision. Dr. told it is because of dry eye. I have done shirmer test also. The dry condition is normal only (25ml). Now my question is blurred vision is because of dry eye or residual power in my left eye? Then this residual power will be a constant or will it be a fluctuating power (either decrease or increase)? Whether this residual power can be reduced by taking vitamin A tablets? How can i know healing is over or not? When healing will be over? can i able to see without blurred vision? Kindly answer my questions. I am really disappointed because of blurry vision.

Lasik - Cornea Swelling & Fluctuating vision? i just did my lasik 1 week ago with intralase.. when i went for post op check up today...doc says my cornea is a swollen and my vision is fluctuating (i.e : sometimes clear, sometimes unclear). doc says it's a personal reaction..just wondering if there's anything i have done after op to caused it? or can anything be done on my part to reduce the swelling now?? has anybody experienced that before? how long after lasik will it take for eyesight to stabalise?? have only done 1 eye..and i'm worried about the second eye now =(
Vision Standards for Infantry, Lasik in the Army? I already have an Infantry contract and ship out 2008 July 31. I am just curious to know what the minimum vision is for Infantry. I know the minimum for the military is -8.00 diopters to +8.00 diopters. I have pretty bad vision..Not that bad! Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what the minimum standards are for combat jobs like infantry? Also, any information about LASIK in the Army would be greatly appreciated. I plan on trying to get LASIK in the Army. For LASIK, do you just go to a regular LASIK surgeon and the Army pays for it, or do they have their own? What if you went to your own, to avoid waiting lists, would that get you in trouble, would you have to pay for it? How long do you think the waiting list for Infantry is to get LASIK, since I heard the waiting list differs depending on your MOS. I know thats a lot of questions but any help is greatly appreciated. Lasik-will it ruin my up-close vision? I have worn glasses all my life. I am VERY near-sighted. But at least, I can see up close. This is important since I do needlework. I am considering lasik surgery for my astigmatism. My vision beyond arm's length is 20/15. But up close, blur. I have to put on reading glasses to see anything up close which is frustrating to me as all get out. ANybody know where i can find these techniques??? I read about it, its calles "natural eye correction" but i cant find the exercises anywhere. Help ?
