How much have you paid at lasik plus of hartford? I always read up about free financing and/or how afforable it is, etc. but I WANT A PRICE TAG! If not exact, at least an estimate.
Has anyone had laser eye surgery with LASIK PLUS Visions? I am interested in any positive or negative info you may have. I am pretty knowledgeable in the process. But, was inquiring about LASIK PLUS specifically. I am scheduling an appointment with the location on McKnight Road in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Any chance somebody has been there????
Has anyone had the new Lasik Plus surgery done? I had the RK they called it in 1995 done. That was for near sightedness only. This new Lasik plus they say is suppose to correct farsightedness/nearsightedness!! Also stygnatism.. But my brother in law is having it done on both eyes April 7.. It cost him $4,000.00.. Two K an eye.. Wholey COW!! Has anyone heard good things about this and/or bad things????
tlc or lasik plus? or anything better?how is ur surgery so far? any regrets? pros/cons? i made an appointment for but tlc and lasik plus in san diego http://www.tlcvision.com/ http://www.lasikplus.com they are weeks about from each other. im goin to lasik plus this next saturday. my question where is the best place to get custom lasik or bladeless lasik done? and which one is better? i been lookin all over the net and this 2 companies seem like the way to go. but i need to do as much research as possible i mean its a big deal you know. please share any info u have. the optometrist at the naval hospital approoved me for lasik surgery at the naval hospital in camp pendleton, the thing is they put you on a waiting list blablabla well im about to get out in 2 months and im no longer a candidate for lasik because you have to have at least a year left before your surgery. anyways im looking to work for border patrol but i need lasik since my eyes are like 20/400. im now im goin to pay for it but i dont want to get the least experience doctor for the cheap price. im willing to spend about 4400 dollars.
better lasik plus centers of private practice? i went to see a private practice and i'm planning on getting my lasik surgery next friday, i cant decide if i can trust going to chains like lasik plus. they are a lot cheaper than going to a private practice. of course i know if i go to lasik plus for a consult, they'll say they're safe yada yada yada. help. don't know what to do if you can tell me the pros and cons for both private n plus center, that'll be great!!! Thanks in advance
Lasik Plus - I was told to 'shop' around and get second opinions but...? I dont know what to ask on consultations. I am thinking about going to a Lasik Plus Surgery center in Philadelphia, and i was wondering how i can find info on the doctor/hospital that is NOT on their websites, obviously theyre not going to say anything bad about their company Are there different Kinds of Lasik? I'm only 20 so i dont want to get cheated or told something thats not true. ANy info would be helpful
How likely are you to need a "touch-up" procedure after a LASIK surgery? Assuming after a healing period following surgery that you are in the area of 20/20, in good health, and previously suffered from mild to moderate near-sightness only? How often are touch-up's needed? Despite the relative newness of true Lasik technology, am I safe to assume 20+ years down the road most will not need it? Is paying the extra 1000 dollars for the lifetime touch-up plan a waste of money if all goes reasonably well the first surgery? (The company is Lasik Plus in case you are curious) Thanks.
5 yrs post Lasik plus patients..?? I need to hear from patients with 5 yrs post Lasik eye surgery... I am thinking about having Lasik done, but there have been many people who after having surgery their site goes bad after 5 yrs.. I need to know if this has happened to anyone else... If so then I know my answer to whether or not I'll be having surgery... Thanks.
how old do u have to get Lasik Plus? i have glasses and i want to get the LasikPlus but i dont no how old u have to be plz help
POST-LASIK: Does anyone know where can i get the cheapest refresh plus? I have just done my lasik 2 weeks ago and used up 2 boxes of refresh. I need to find a cheaper source... please advise.
Glaucoma and LASIK - What are the consequences of having glaucoma at such a young age? Hi, I am an 18 year old asian female who has a grandmother with glaucoma. Just recently (April) I had a "Red eye infection", and went to the optometrist right away. They said that my intraocular pressure was way higher than normal and gave me some drops. When I looked up the side effects for red eye I found out that glaucoma can be the cause of it. Am I too young to have glaucoma? Plus, can I get LASIK done when Im older? I have really bad nearsightedness and have bad astigmatism to top it off, and possibly glaucoma (I will see a glaucoma specialist in september). Will I end up going blind?
lasik centers or private practice? i went to see a private practice and i'm planning on getting my lasik surgery next friday, i cant decide if i can trust going to chains like lasik plus. they are a lot cheaper than going to a private practice. of course i know if i go to lasik plus for a consult, they'll say they're safe yada yada yada. help. don't know what to do if you can tell me the pros and cons that'll be great. Lasik Eye Insitute? I wanted to go to a Lasik Eye Center called the Lasik Eye Insitute located at 5728 Lbj Fwy Dallas, TX 75240 with Dr. George Joseph Can you please tell me if you have been here and if you suggest it or not? I really need help!! I heard that Lasik Plus, in Plano, TX, was bad. I have not seens any reviews for lasik eye institute though - Help me out, please!! Thanks!
Can LASIK eye surgery be dangerous if you take certain medications? I'm epileptic and I have certain meds for it, plus other meds for other conditions.
Can you become a pilot if you have astigmatism? I know they say that you cant become a pilot if you have high degrees on both eyes but how about low degrees but with moderate astigmatism. Any information will help. Plus i would also like to know if Lasik can cure astigmatism or if wearing glasses regularly wil improve the condition?
how old do you need to be to get lasik? cuz my eye sight is really bad. i have to squint to look at a tv like 5 feet away and can't read scoreboards at games. i also might have a lazy eye. i really don't want to wear glasses. i have contacts but i got them mixed up in 3 cases and now i dunno which are mine. plus they are just too much trouble to do in the morning before school. i'm 14.
Where can I get inexpensive eyeglasses? I have high prescription, and I don't want to spend a lot because I'm planning to have Lasik surgery in the next 18-24 months. My current eyeglasses aren't comfortable (one of the nosepads came off, and I got a new pair of nosepads but they don't feel comfortable). Plus, the lenses are scratched and they're not in a great shape overall. I live in Orange County, CA by the way. Thanks. I need a frame AND high prescription lenses.
Question regarding Lasik? I just had lasik thursday afternoon. I went in for my follow up today and the doctor said i was doing better than expected and that i was seeing 20/20 in both eyes. My question is how long show i expect to have fluctuating vision? Its really clear at times but quite often is blurry as well. Plus my eyes can be alittle painful at times? i know this is normal but how long does this last? I drive a truck for a living, im having a hard time holding my eyes open for long periods. Will this get easier soon so i can go back to work monday? When i went in for my follow up i forgot to ask these questions. There office is closed on the weekend so im hoping somebody has some advice for me. thank you.
im getting lasik done in a day and a half. has anyone gotten it done before? im actually getting PRK (photorefractive keratectomy) its safer than lasik. they dont cut your eye. they say that the discomfort will last a little longer than lasik and i won't see as clearly right after the procedure. Have you gotten it done before, or know of someone. tell me your experiences and try and help me get over my nervousness, please. Oh, and how much did you, or someone else pay to get the surgery done? I have bad astigmatism so mine was more than the original price plus i got the lifetime of enhancements and the punctual plugs for the eyedrops all included in $1499 an eye. That's with the custom advanced procedure too, not the traditional lasik. so i figure it's a good price. well please let me know. i appreciate it. -liss-
Lasik! Am I a good candidate yet? I've worn glasses since freshman year of highschool and now I alternate contacts and glasses. I've always wanted lasik surgery to repair my near-sightedness, but I read up on the rules and found candidates under 21 weren't good. Plus, I've read your prescription needs to stabilize over a year before the surgery is appropirate. I'm 23 now, and my prescription has barely changed in nearly 3 years now. Does that make me a good candidate, or should I wait longer? Also, what's the deal with loss of night vision? I've heard that's a real concern with the surgery.
By far, I'm thinking about getting Lasik Eye Surgery, concerns...? I'm 17 years old, I've had glasses for about 6 years now, I've tried contacts, and they weren't comfortable at all. I'm thinking about getting Lasik Eye Surgery, and the things I do know are: - the feeling of burning of the eye with the drops (i think) - it doesn't last, the surgery 'fades' away. Although, I've also heard that it is the best thing. Considering, glasses getting in the way (most people say you can deal with it, but honestly it does get annoying) Actually being able to wear sunglasses (i know, that it is a small plus, but...) I just want to know if it's worth it, I'm trying to find a really good place to get information and actually have it done, but I want to know some basics first.
Is it possible for your eyesight to improve? I have been wearing glasses since I was 8...i'm 12(almost 13). My eyesight has gotton worse after those years of wearing glasses. Is there an actually possible way to improve your eyesight? (Without getting lasik eye surgery!..plus i'm 2 young anyways) I think I have also become dependent on my glasses..i'm nearsighted(i can't see far away..) When I first got them I just need them in school(overhead, chalkboard, etc.) Now whenever I walk down the street or something, all I see is blurriness, so I know it became worse, and I've become dependent on them...
Why does my left eye hurt so much after Lasik surgery? I've had Lasik surgery five months ago and I've felt discomfort ever since the operation in my left eye. It feels as if my eye was being torn, especially when I need to focus my eyesight on televisoin or while reading. My excretions are high and when I go out, sunlight can be quite bothering, at least more than indoors. I haven't seen the doctor since but only his optometrists/assistants who keep on reassuring me that discomfort will pass. They tell me I only have "dry eye" symptoms and that I have 20/20 vision anyway. That might be true but 5 months later is quite abnormal it seems, plus my vision might be 20/20 but I can only guess the letters I see with my left eye since my vision is partly blurred on that eye, kind of milky, as if I had constant liquid in my eye. I have to add that I have seen 5 (!!) other doctors, none of which can tell me what went wrong!! - yet. Help me please if you can.
Lasik eye surgery.. is it for me? I have very bad astigmatism (5 diopters in each eye, plus I am extremely nearsighted). I not only get the blurred vision, but the double vision and starbursts without corrective lenses. I am 25, currently I sometimes wear glasses, and sometimes wear contacts (I am amazed that they found a contact lens to hold my prescription). My glasses fall apart almost every day, and my contacts are hideously expensive. I am tired of it. Does the cost of the surgery depend on how bad your eyes are? How much leave do you have to take off work to have the surgery done? Anything you can tell me will be appreciated.
Which place is better? I think TLC is because of the fact you can see right away and they have Bladeless LASIK what do you think? http://www.tlcvision.com/default.fxmll http://www.lasikplus.com/ if the links dont work the places are LASIK plus and LASIK EYE CENTERS (TLC) please google them =]
confused?! which one ehhh? I think TLC is because of the fact you can see right away and they have Bladeless LASIK what do you think? http://www.tlcvision.com/default.fxmll http://www.lasikplus.com/ if the links dont work the places are LASIK plus and LASIK EYE CENTERS (TLC) please google them =]
PRK Or ICL? have you gotten ICL?please read? i live in san siego and i have visited lasik plus, tlc laser center, 2020 san diego lasik institute and clearway. well i not a candidate for lasik my corneas are L 460 R 640 thick. Dr. Tony H. Pham from The san diego lasik institute thinks i should do PRK because it will also correct my astigmatism. Dr. Sandy T. Feldman from clearview thinks i would be better off with ICL and with a small amount of PRK on my left eye to correct my astigmatism she also would do just the PRK but she says that i would be better off with the ICL because of my corneas bein too thin. Dr. Tony H. Pham was telling me it would be better to just treat me with the PRK instead of PRK on left eye plus ICL. he also told me that if i really wanted to he would also do icl im just really confuse. PRK is cheaper that ICL but they both have there pros and cons. am male 23 years old, i need one of these surgeries to meet a job requirement with the federal gov. I was told about possibility of glaucome , cataracts ,with ICL and clowdness in my eyes. both of these Doctors seem very knowlable but one leans more toward PRK and the other more toward ICL dont know what to do but i really need to get it done as soon as possible help. if you have any experience with ICL please let me know what you think OD -5.74 ds -1.07 DC x 179 @ 12.5 mm (6.00 rx calc) W.F diam (mm) 6.75 high order 4.6% eff. blur (d) 5.23 Rms Err.(u) 8.60 OS -4.20 DS -2.61 DC x 175 @ 12.5 mm (6.00 rx calc) W.F diam (mm) 6.75 high order 5.7% eff. blur (d) 5.74 Rms Err.(u) 9.44
I have been reading nightmare stories. Will I go blind!? I had Lasik eye surgery to correct my near-sightedness, and I used a good doctor and LASIK Plus Vision Centers in Atlanta, Georgia. After I had the procedure, I could see perfect without glasses, but I started reading all the nightmare stories on the internet, and watching LASIK YouTube videos. I am really scared now. I am thirty-seven, and I wish I had never taken this risk. I was fine with my glasses, and I wish I had them back. However, now there is no going back. What are my chances of going completely blind? I can deal with the bad night vision and halos around lights at night. I just want to know I won't go completely blind.
Ophthalmology - lens replacement? My left eye, for driving lenses, has this prescription: +3.75 sph, -.75 cyl, 084 axis. The lasik center says both lasek and PRK can only make as much correction as I could expect from glasses. For the level of correction I need for 20/20 they need to replace the natural lens. 1) How do you measure or quantify correction levels? 2) Could the lasik PLUS glasses achieve the same level of correction without replacing the natural lens? I'm 59. I got a second evaluation. My left eye has always been "lazy" but apparently can be corrected to 20/30 with glasses. Partly as a precaution I would like it to be very close to 20/20. I don't mind using reading glasses or even driving glasses to give additional correction beyond Intralase lasik or lens replacement. One service quoted $5000 for lens replacement on the left eye and $1800 for Lasik on the right eye = $6800. The other quoted two eyes, Intralase lasik, $3800. They said the best I could expect on the left eye would be 20/25 but they wanted to fix both eyes at the same time. I'm studying a product called crystalens. http://www.feinermanvision.com/feinermanvision/UserFiles/File/Crystalens-OCregister.pdf
lasik eye surgery? first of all is there an age you have to be to get this procedure done. i'm 16 and in the future(a few months) i might want to get this done of course with my parents consent. i've had bad vision since fifth grade. and i can tell it's getting worse and worse. plus i stare at screens for long periods of time. is this always effective and anything to be worried about if i wanted to get this done? i don't want it to get any worse if i chose to do this.
lasik lasek - farsightness vision correction? whats the max they can do now? i think mine is +9.75 i thiink ........not sure i can find out but yea plus i have n astigmatisim....... bad vision, i wear contacts now they work well, but man i would love to never ever have to mess with them again. is thier any procedure for this now? if not will something like this be arriving shortly. thanks again

I feel like my glasses are affecting my dating life. What should I do? I feel like my glasses are affecting my dating life. What should I do? My prescription is kind of high where I can't get lasik, and I hear that contacts, over time, increase your prescription even more. Plus, I kind of look kiddish without glasses, and i kind of have some bags under my eyes. I'm not that shy or anything, i'm pretty outgoing and straightforward. What i mean is that girls aren't attracted to me as much, and my personality doesn't get to show through because they just can't get past the glasses.
i am born with a lazy eye pls help anyone??????? i am 17. i was born with a lazy eye, ( one eye cannot see that well as the other ) medical science has improved significantly, so i was wondering if i could wear contact lenses ( MY EYE DEGRES ARE DIFFRENT ) , one is 200 plus the other 400 plus . Glasses Jelousy!!? I don't really like to tell anybody this... so i figured yahoo answers is ambiguous enough that I can speak freely :) I am REALLY jealous of people that don't have to wear glasses, like getting up in the morning, jumping in the car, not having to worry about all the pains with glasses and the at times very uncomfortableness of it. Constantly cleaning them or taking care of contacts.... I just look at ppl without them and think how lucky they are to be able to see with their own eyes!... I know there are people with much worse problems in this world but I just had to get it off my chest... and dont say lasik im not a candidate due to large pupils plus I have to wait a few more years to even consider it... sorry my question is, what's your opinion on this, I am the only one??
how can i increase my eyesight? i dont understand how i had good eye sight when i was a kid it worsen wen i was like 13 and plus that was the first time i had my eyes checked by an eye docotor and i got glasess and they have been breaking for the past 4 years all four pairs ive had i hate them somehow the screws and stuff fall unoticed and i always wear them so its like unoticible and im mad beacsue my cousins play gameboy with full extreem brightness and practiicly have the machine to their eyes and they hella close to the tv and they have extreemsly good sight and there my age to plz wats the best way to increase my sight if not i guess i should just go to mexico and get lasik
How to go about a complete life makeover from finances to closet.. .? I'm not happy at the job I'm at even though I work for Walgreen's IT dept and it has great benefits. I can't stand it because the 1.5 hour drive going and coming. Plus the long hours and they're uber strict. My passion is to become a high school guidance counselor. I want to make over my finances so that I can own my home in the next couple years. I want to get the hell out of Illinois and move to a warmer climate. I want to do physical make over such getting rid of my adult acne, straightening and whitening my teeth, loosing 20lbs (I'm 5'1 145lbs), and get lasik eye so I never ever have to wear these gotdamn glasses anymore. I just don't know where to start.
More Marines questions.? Okay, so what do I have to be ready for if I am going to join the marines, and someone who knows for sure tell me can I fly a plane when I have glasses or do I have to have Lasik (Also, I am only twelve but what should I do besides Bench, and do curls, to get ready for JROTC, then ROTC, the OCS, and finally the Marines.) (Plus what is an officer, I thought it was just like Sergants and stuff that got to tell everyone what to do but still go in battle, but someone told me otherwise.) I should have been more clear, I know HOW to become a officer, just not exactly what it is....Well now I do.
How to train binocular vision at old age? i have strabismus due to amblyopia. the different in degree of both eyes is big, leading me to use only my "good" eye to see things and my "poor" eye to get more and more lazy. recently did LASIK surgery on my poor eye to improve eyesight. now i finally start to use my poor eye to see things. my problem is i still can't use both eyes at the same time due to lack of binocular vision. i am 20 plus years old. is it too late to train for binocular vision and how? is surgery the only option?
Should I call them back and set up a settlement or payment plan? Or just wait it out and dispute it later? Ok well i recently had some other credit questions and i have most of it sorted out, or am currently sorting it out. But i do have another problem. Let's just say i was young and dumb. About a year and some odd months ago, almost 2 years, i may have co-signed for my ex to get lasik. Well he never made one payment of it, and of course neither did i. I mean why should i? I still have to wear glasses and contacts. But it's on my credit and i really would rather it not be there. Plus they keep calling me to get some money. I did a credit report to get some extra background on it, and it has been charged off, which most people tell me means that they sold it to a collection agency. I'm pretty sure charged off is not a good thing to have on my credit. But i have also gotten advice that if i wait it out then dispute it, i could potentially get it off my credit report. I do realize that, that only happens if they fail to provide proof that i actually signed a contract. It's not a huge bill, its only like $4,000 or so and once when i spoke with them they said they would lower it like $3,200 or something but they wanted it all in one lump sum, and like most people i don't have that kind of money and not enough credit to get any loan or anything. So should i answer the phone next time they call and try to work something or out? Wait the 7 yrs for it to come off my credit and ignore their calls? Or try and dispute it so that i pay nothing? They call my house and my mom anwers and she says not to pay it becuase i shouldn't have to pay for it when i have really bad vision and he gets to walk around with 20/20 vision. (Just wanted to let you know i am 20, I don't want you to think i am a like a kid, mentioning my mom and all.) And if you could include some advice for each of the senarios that would be great. Sorry if it is a little long and confusing. But any advice would still be great. Thanks ^_^ By the way, I am completely aware that as a co-signer i am responsible ok? I'm not dumb, it's just that i don't think it all that fair that my credit is screwed because he is a P.O.S. (yea yea i know that bs that life ain't fair, yea i've probably gone through more crap than most older adults so don't give me that crap either.) I just want this off my credit, it's not really ruining it, i have a lot of good credit, but it's just the fact that it's still there. And if there was a better way to handle it vs them constantly bothering me, maybe a loop hole then i will take it, i just dont know hat my chances are of that. I have done a lot of reaserch on it, but i just wanted some extra advice. And bud68, yea your smart @s$ remark is not appreciated. By putting "may have" i was being vague, if you smart you would be able to tell that obviously i co-signed for. And i believe that my vision comparision is completely relevant to the fact that i spend way more on glasses and contacts and should not have to pay for his eyes. So if your not going to put anything productive, you know where the back button is, and try to answer someone else who may have to time to read your crap answer.
glasses Rx versus contacts Rx? Eyes uncomfortable? This is a couple different ?'s in one so I would appreciate any answers. First of all, I have been wearing contacts since the 6th grade(I am now a senior in college). I've finally gotten tired of em so I invested in a pair of glasses. I don't know if it's because my perscription is -7.00 but the glasses are disorienting, plus they're Rx strength is -7.50. Is this normal, to have a stronger glasses strength than contacts? Also, and this may be because of my long history with contacts and the fact that I wear Focus night and day but my eyes are actually more comfortable with contacts in. It's irritating to my eyes when i blink without them in. should i be worried? I'm thinking about getting lasik in a couple of years...good idea?

I want to get lasik. Whats a common price? They want to charge me 2700 at lasik plus. And another place may be cheaper(lasik vision institute) but is there a chance the quality may be lower?
