What type of foods to eat during gallbladder surgery recovery? I will be having gallbladder surgery on the 22nd of October, and I am wondering what types of foods I should prep my house with during the recovery. Soups? Jell-o? I just want to be 100% prepared.
Question about gallbladder surgery recovery? I just had my gallbladder surgery on Thursday, I still am sore.I think my surgery was a little more delicate because I was having like a pain attack before surgery, but I do not know if that makes a difference. What I am wondering is what you think, the doctor recommends at least five days out of work for full recovery, and as of Sunday it will only be three. The doctor thought that I would be able to return to work on Monday after being on recovery for three days, but I am not feeling fully recovered yet.I am trying to decided whether or not to return on Monday because my stomach has been really swollen and also I still have pain and soreness. The doctor did tell me that if I did not think that I would be able to return on Monday just to let her know and she would keep me out for more days, which I really do not need a doctor's note because where I work they are not really strict about that, and I really only answer the telephone and do emails but do have to stand up and attend customers if they come in.What do you suggest?
Will 12 days recovery from gallbladder surgery be long enough to be able to lift on my son who's 21lbs? I'm having gallbladder surgery on May 2nd but I already bought the tickets for my son and I to fly out and see my sister on May 14th. The problem is my son is 21lbs and the doctor said I need to have the surgery as soon as possible. I'm now nervous that I may not be fully healed from the surgery to lift that much wait? Anyone have any advice???
What is the typical recovery for gallbladder removal surgery? I had my gall bladder out with the scope. I have 4 incisions that have been stapled shut. I have a total of 12 staples. I was the worse after the surgery, I had a lot of air in me that I couldnt get out. However it seems to be fine now. I used an air machine and it cleared out. My staples are itchy, the swelling is going down and i feel in occasional pain but feel better if Im walking around or take a mild pain reliever (percocet only 1 a day) Do you think that wallking around will further me from healing? Im eating normal, and passing normal bowel movements also. No fever or anything. They also prescribed me prilosoc to take in the morning. How would I know if I have internal bleeding or anything?
What is the typical recovery time of gallbladder surgery? How many days will I be away from work...estimate? Just from your experience.
Gallbladder surgery - recovery question? Hi all, how long after your initial surgery were you feeling okay? How long before you were 100% And could you tell me if you had laproscopic or open also? Thank you very much. Mine is scheduledd 6/28 and I wonder if I will feel up to laying in the grass to watch the fireworks?
How long is the recovery after open surgery gallbladder operation? I've since had a infection to the wound so that has set me back a bit

Recovery after gallbladder surgery? Hi, I just had my gallbladder removed a little over two weeks ago. I was just wondering when the itching, and sensitivity will end, basically how long does it take to heal completely in the insision area? (ps. sorry for any incorrect spelling)
Reasons for and recovery of Gallbladder Surgery? Would anyone be so kind as to be able to tell me about gallbladder surgery? My doc says mine is not functioning and needs to be removed. Its an outpatient thing, Im wondering what to expect after the surgery, can I go back to work the next day. Any info would be very much appreciated, Im supposed to have the surgery on Oct 21. Thanks for your time. Jackie b Thanks to everyone giving feed back. I have a great surgeon and family doc, but sometimes you like to hear it straight from people who have had it done. Your answers have been very helpful, and I appreciate you taking your time to help set my mind to rest. Jackie b
Is gallbladder surgery painfull? My father in law had the surgery and after he was returned to his room for the next 3 days he was not given pain medication. Seven days later he died of acute respiratory distress syndrome (the kidneys failed, he got a blood clot a day after the surgery). My position is that he could not expand his lungs the way he needed to because he was in pain (he was 87). And there for the pneumonia / ards set in his lungs. Once he was admitted to icu (on a monday), they gave him morfine. Which tells me that the health care professionals knew that he had pain. Part of the excuse to the family was that his doctor was not in on the weekend. For a younger person, this surgery would have allowed them to go home in four hours. For someone his age he was to go home 3 days later. Is gallbladder surgery recovery painful? I'd like to add that he was in good health other than having gall stone. I believe the surgery was a key hole procedure, since the doctor said that younger patients can go home in four hours. He had a lawn care business, of which he was still working until he fail ill with gall stones. He was not a smoker. His vitals were supriseingly normal for his age. Before the surgery the doctor said that his lungs were clear. Other than being weak from not eating because of the gall bladder, he was in good health. I do think that the Willis-Knighton Medical Center is a hospital to think twice about before admitting a loved one. Due diligence is not their strong suit. Thank you for your input. I'm just trying to make sense of his death.

I am going to be having gallbladder surgery here in the next few days, and I want to know peoples experiences with having their gallbladders removed. I am in my early 20's and I will (hopefully) be having laproscopic surgery. I'm going for my consultation with a surgeon tomorrow, but I would like to hear your views before then. I just mainly want to know how long recovery took, what you could eat, and what the lifting limits are. I have a 7 month old daughter and I want to be able to hold her!

While I am happy to be rid of this horrible "thing", I am more than nervous about the actual surgery and recovery because I am a full time colleger student and worry about how long I will be out of commission. Can anyone out there share with me their experiences with gallbladder surgery so that I can have some iea of what to expect? Thanks!

Gallbladder surgery coming up what to expect? Ok so I am having laparoscopic surgery to remove my gallbladder on the 13th of this month. While I fully intend to ask the surgeon some questions before hand, I was wondering if some people could give me some insite in their personal experiences with this. I am 25 and have 4 kids under 8 and I was wondering how long I will be out of it before I'm up to fully caring for them again. Should I make and freeze a few meals beforehand so I can pop them in the oven for a few days after the surgery? What was the pain and recovery like for you? How long after you came out of surgery till you were able to go home? Any stories about your own gallbladder surgeries will be appreciated, I am a little nervous. Thanks
What is recovery like from gallbladder removal? I have to have the surgery and what to know what I am up against.
How long does a recovery take after gallblader surgery? I am planning to have a gallbladder removed via laparoscopic procedure. If anyone had this experience, I am wondering how long will take to get back to normal life- working, exercising, etc?
Has anyone had complications during Gallbladder surgery? Was told Dr. cut a blood vessel & I bled alot (?)? I had laparoscopic gallbladder surgery this past Friday, 9/01/06. After the surgery the surgeon talked to my husband and told him my gallbladder was in bad shape and had probably been bad for a while and had just started giving me trouble. He also told him there was a complication. He had a hard time getting the gallbladder out and had to cut it out instead of the normal scraping it out..he said he accidently cut a blood vessel and I bled alot during surgery. I haven't been able to talk to the dr who did this yet but was wondering if anyone has had this experience or knows of someone who has?? Should I be worried? I have had so much pain, if my pain meds wear off at all I'm hurting pretty bad. When I started coming to in recovery I was hurting so bad I though I had woke up during surgery..but had been out of surgery for a cpl of hrs. I was begging for pain meds. the nurse said she couldn't give me anymore she had already given me 3 shots of demoral and a percocet pill. normal?
Does general anesthesia after surgery cause your oxygen level to go down typically after surgery? i had laporoscopic gallbladder surgery about a week ago and when i was in the recovery area my oxygen level kept lowering down to about 90% i know thats not really low or anything but mine is normally at 99%, im a 21yr old female, is this from having the breathing tube during surgery? anyway im curious if this was a normal reaction?
Gallbladder Surgery Questions? I am having gallbladder surgery on Tuesday and I am so nervous! But also, just ready for it to be over with! I am having laparoscopic. My questions are: What is it like to be "konked out"? And how do they konk you out? How is recovery? (I have had a C-section, and was wondering if the pain is worse than that or less) If there is a stone in the duct, will it have to end up being an open surgery instead of laparoscopic? (My doc said my duct was a little more dilated than what people my age is supposed to be, I'm 25) I do not have jaundice. Will walking around help make the air get out quicker? Will I have to have a catheter? (I am on my period) Any and all advice if you have been through it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! :)
Food After Gallbladder Surgery? I'm having my gallbladder removed tomorrow morning and was wondering what types of foods I should be eating afterwards. My surgeon has said I can go back to eating normal right after, but I think I want to stick to soft foods, at least for the first day. People whom have had their gallbladder removed, I'd love to hear your experiences and recovery time. Thanks!
after gallbladder surgery? I had my gallbladder out lapraroscopically on Jan 31. There were no complications, I came home the same day. The pain was rather severe, I would say an 8/10 when I woke up in recovery, I actually thought the doctor had to convert to open because of the pain. The pain is almost nonexistant at the incision sites, only a little sore, the pain is all in the right upper quadrant. Lortab 10mg has been effective for pain management, although I had to take it every 4-5 hours for like 6 days, or severe pain would return. I am on day 8, and am still taking lortabs for pain, although not nearly as often. I have went from 6 pills a day two days ago to maybe 4. (sometimes a half dose at a time). I'm getting better, its more tolerable. My question is, has anyone else experienced this kind of persistant pain for this long after surgery. I am not nauseated. It does not feel like spasm pain, its just there (organ pain). I really didnt expect the pain to be as severe as it was from the beginning. Phantom organ pain? I had surgery 8 days ago. I dont think that is the issue now. I am a nurse, just curious about other peoples experiences. I will definately have a new perspective on laparoscopic surgical patients after being on this side. I never see patients more than 2 days after surgery. I have had 2 c-sections, and my upper teeth removed due to heritary defects. I have to say this procedure was by far the most painful of the 3.
Abdominal Pain After Gallbladder surgery?? I got my Gallbladder out 8/9/07, and its just just been one thing after another. Im still in constant pain, had numerous ER visits, scan and blood work all of which have come back normal. I had my GB removed via Laparscopic. During the surgery my GB broke in half, which caused me to get a JP drain, Iin case any toxins spilled into my abdomen; then awoke in the recovery room screaming in pain, was given 8mg of morphine and it didnt do a thing for me, so after I got back to my room and given a better pain med, I found out that my bile duct got a hole in it and I had to get a stent placed into the duct to stop it. A long story short, Im still in pain, it can range from mild to severe, the doctors don't know what is causing the pain. My JP site has opened up twice, which doctors say it could be from a collection, or a stitch that isnt dissolving. I don't know, Im at a loss. I now attend pain management where I get trigger point injections.Does anyone have input?
Have You Had Laparoscopic Gallbladder Surgery? I HAVE to have it done and I'm scared!! Please reply ONLY if you've had it done recently. Questions: 1. Recovery Time? How long after did you feel yourself, and could go back to work? 2. I've heard people are more nauseous AFTER the surgery than before, from the gallbladder not there to aid in digestion. I'm at the point where I vomit 15 minutes after meals, and am on a very strict bland diet so I don't have an attack. Is it worse than that? 3. Do you gain weight? I am thin and would like to stay that way. And I'm just plain scared. Any information would be helpful. Thanks!
Recovery time after having gallbladder removed? Last Sunday I had to be rushed to the emergency room. I had this unbearable pain in my abdomen. I thought it was my stomach. The ER doctor did an ultrasound sound and he told me that I have gallstones. It didn't rupture...thank goodness. I have an appt with a general surgeon on Tues. My mom said that its a simply surgery and it doesn't take the doctor long to remove the gallbladder. How long is the recovery time?
How long should I give my self recovery after? gallbladder surgery? I had surgery on Monday and It's Thursday and I still am not doing much. I am jund of depressed about it. Please only answer if you have any experience. It was laproscopy. and I can't spell either. That was supposed to be Kinda depressed. weird.

Is This Normal After Gallbladder Surgery? I had my gallbladder removed 1 week ago today due to a non functioning gallbladder. I had the simple procedure and was out of the hospital the same day. Everything with my recovery has gone great with the exception of this pain in my lower back on the right side. It hurts to take a deep breath, sneeze or cough and it hurts as well where my gallbladder was removed. I am taking Tylenol which helps but I am worried if this is normal. I returned to work yesterday and by the end of the day is was awful! Please help!
Scared of gallbladder surgery? I have to have my gallbladder removed via laparoscopy procedure and am really scared. I have never had any medical conditions, operations, not even a filling in my teeth so I am a little anxious about the procedure. I am hoping you guys can help calm my nerves - Are you able to tell me of your experiences, those that have been through it and those on the other end (eg nursing and other medical staff) How long the procedure takes How long expected recovery is (I have a desk job and not sure how long I will need off of work) Whether I will need assistance at home with day to day stuff for a while (I realise heavy lifting would be a no-no for a while) Is the stone removed when the gall bladder is removed Sorry for the million and one questions but any help would be greatly appreciated and I would love to hear from you guys Love Me :) xxx
Need answers about gallbladders surgery? Anyone who could give me personal experience about gallbladder surgery, reasons for it, recovery after it, would be greatly appreciated as I am schedled for it on Oct 21. The doc says mine is not working at all. Hey DP. havent seen many ?'s from you lately. Other than the gallbladder thing Im pretty good. Still in anguish over my daughters death, which I think is what is making my body fall apart. Thanks so much for asking. Best wishes to you. If you had your gallbladder removed, did you gain weight? I lost 35 pounds last year and I have to have my gallbladder removed next week, not because of gallstones, but because it is only working at 15%. I am now a little concered and am hoping I will not gain any of my weight back. I also would like any other advice about post-surgery recovery, diet, pain, etc...
Anyone had their gallbladder removed through laparoscopic surgery? Did you have any problems afterward? What was your recovery time? Having it done this week and any info is appreciated. :-)
I don't know where to ask this, but I have a question about gallbladder removal! Please advise, I'm scared. I am 16 years old, and I recently had a baby girl (please do not lecture on that, as it is obviously not why I am here). However, I had several complications post-delivery and one was some gallbladder issues. Apparently, I have several gallstones in which I never felt (silent gallstones, which my doctor said may be pregnancy induced-I'm quite healthy!). I never have gallbladder attacks, pains, etc. However, my surgeon advises that I have gallbladder removal soon to reduce the risk of problems in the future. I know I don't NEED my gallbladder removed since I have no pains, but I figure it would be a good idea and I should have it done anyway. Has anyone experienced gallbladder removal surgery? If so, what were the after-experiences like? Weight gain? Recovery? ANY info at all would be helpful, and I've read a lot on the internet but I would still like some personal experience information if possible. Please, and thank you in advance!
Should i be afraid im about to go into surgery? Im going into surgery shortly to have my gallbladder removed, does anybody have any idea how bad its going to be or is it painfull and is the recovery time long?? Im shi**in it...

I'm having my gallbladder out tomorrow by open surgery............? I'm nervous! What are your experiences of this operation? Will I be ok? How long is recovery time? How long were you in hospital for? What's the pain like after the operation? I'm scared!
I had my gallbladder remover in 2001 and long after recovery, I continued to have pain in the area where my ? gallbladder used to be. I told the doctor who performed the surgery how I was still hurting. He gave me Vioxx and then on another visit, he prescribed another anti-inflammatory. None of it changed anything. Here I am in 2008 and I still have pain in this area especially after I stand for a little bit. I am starting to believe he damaged a nerve. Has anyone had a similar experience. I have no digestion problems at all. I just have this pain very frequently.
Have you had your gallbladder removed laprascopically? What was recovery time and surgery like? I think I spelled laparscopically wrong. Done with a laparoscope is what I mean :)
Im having my gallbladder taken out!? I am 24 and in the next week or so I will be having my gallbladder removed. Is it normal for someone my age to be having gallbladder problems? Is there anything I should know before or after the surgery? Also, does anyone know how long the surgery lasts and the recovery time. I have bad anxiety so Im really nervous and if anyone knows anything about it I would appreciate knowing. Please help!!!! THX Also Im a little overweight and have heard because of that, that they will have to do the long incision..Is that true
Gallbladder removal, how much work will I miss? We're not certain but I may need to have mine removed laproscopicly. I work as an administrative assistant. I'm curious about how much time I may be out of work? I also have fibromyalgia, so recovery times are slower and harder for me. When I had a "minor" surgery to remove my lymphnode 18 months ago, I was told I'd miss 2 days and I missed 5. So it's never real clear. Thanks!
Gallbladder Removal? Just found out today that I need to have my gallbladder removed because I have multiple stones....... What's involved? Is it considered major surgery? What is the recovery time? Does insurance usually cover this surgery? I'd love to know anything anyone has to offer about having their gallbladder removed.
Problems after Fundoplication what to do? My 24yr old common-law husband has been sick for the last five years. It all began with him always getting bronchitis or phemonia. It took doctors two years to figure out that he was suffering from gerd and needed to get surgery to repair it. The surgery is called nissen fundoplication. Ever since he had that surgery in Dec 06 he has lost alot of weight. He was 245pds before now only weighs approx. 135pds most of the weight was lost in the first three months after the surgery and he struggles just to maintain his weight, he is 5 foot 11 inches tall. At one point about five years ago he weighed 290pds. He is unable to eat properly and the doctor that he goes and sees says that he has ran out of hope for him and that the next time he goes to the hospital it may be his last and that no doctor would want to do surgery on him to unwrap what he said he would unwrap two weeks ago. The doctor now says that he will probably be feed by a shunt and oneday would just not wake up in hospital. In the doctors words no doctor would touch him with a ten foot pole. The doctor before the gallbladder surgery and after in recovery told him if that the colesectomy didnt help that he would take down his wrap. Now he does want to do it he said before that he didnt have to go for a marshmallow swallow and now wants him to go to one but six weeks from now is two long when he is losing five-ten pounds a week. And that the marshmallow test would make it official and no one would unwrap it the swallow is booked for after his next appointment with that doctor when it was supposed to be way before July 25 swallow july 22nd appointment. He is in Severe Pain constantly and cries for most of the day. The doctor said he could give him something for pain but most prescription medicines he can take will make his stomach just more upset, so he smokes illegal non medical marijuanna(about 3.5grams a day) whenever he wants to eat as he finds that it makes the pain at least tollerable enough to eat but if it is a choice between anything we need and pot he will go with whatever the family needs which just causes him more pain when he runs out and goes days without eating cause he cant manage swallowing. It helps him not get nauseated and from dry heaving and to help swallow I am afraid that he will pass away unless someone can help him soon. He sleeps rarely and most weeks will get less then fifteen hours of sleep. The doctor said that his stomach does not contract properly anymore, he had gallbladder surgery a couple weeks ago and has now only become more sick and losing even more weight, He has also had his appendix taken out five years ago. He is a wonderful father with three kids that he loves dearly and sacrafices anything for them. He needs someones advice as to where to turn for help in saskatchewan canada besides just writing a complaint... before it is to late. We dont have the money just to drive to the states either. Kenny wants a complete mri just to see if they can find anything that is wrong with him. and hoping someone will know how to go about getting one. He is pretty much just skin and bones some one please help.
Is it worth it to sue your sugeon if he makes a negligent error that made you suffer in pain? Six days after being released from the hospital, following gallbladder surgery, I became very sick and in a lot of pain. I had to be hospitalized again for nine days. The diagnosis was "cystic duct stump leak." Two steel endo clips that were put in place at the time of the surgery became unfastened because they were not fastened correctly or tightly enough. This caused a bile leak. My internal organs were swimming in four litres of bile, causing a lot of suffering. I had E.R.C.P. to drain the bile and bypass the leak. I have had a full recovery. Is it worth it to sue or would I end up in the hole after paying legal expenses? Has anyone had a similar experience? If so what did you do and how did it turn out?
Has anyone had their gallbladder removed in the past few years? 1. How long was your recovery? 2. How long was the surgery? 3. Was it same day surgery? 4. Have all of your problems been alleviated? 5. Are you happy you did it?
I had gastric bypass done, at the time I had gallstones that the surgeon was supposed to? remove at the time of the operation--he didnt do it, he told me husband in the recovery room that he must not have read the report clear through so i had to have another surgery to have the gallbladder removed, is this a malpractice issue? I am just curious. or do you think it was just a stupid oversight by the doctor?
..please help! i had my gallbladder removed 2 months ago, only working at 9%....? no complications with surgery, recovered well, felt great...until 2 weeks ago....felt like i had pulled a muscle? went back to dr who did surgery, did blood tests all came back normal, did an unltrasound everything looked fine. i feel EXACTLY the same as i did b4 i had my gallbladder out. pain right under ribs on right side. cant eat much, have had the runs for 2 weeks ranging from dark to yellow. feels like im constipated but i have the runs. dr prescribed vicodin, then after that hasnt really worked said to take advil/tylenol & alternate between the 2. that doesnt really work. i am so pooped at nite i crash on the couch. sitting makes my right side hurt worse. ANYONE have this?? im supposed to call the dr back on monday but have a feeling he has no clue or will tell me its all in the recovery process..which i find hard to believe since i was feeling great a month after surgery. please if anyone has any ideas i would be so grateful.
scheduled c-section with tubal? I am having a scheduled C-section (second one, first one was emergency)in November. I signed a paper so that I can have it done right after they deliver my baby. I have heard that the recovery is longer, but worth it. Is this true? Im not so concerned because Its defentally worth it than having to go back in 6 weeks to have it done the other way, (i had gallbladder surgery and its the same surgery proseduere) has anyone had this done before that can answer my question?
Lower back pain is killing me? I had my gallbladder removed about 2weeks ago, I was in the hospital for about 2weeks the first week I wasnt allowed to eat anything I am still recovering, the pain isnt as strong as it was the first days. Now the problem is my back, it seems that after I got my gallbladder removed this aching, burning, and annoying back pain doesnt want to go away. I have so much trouble sleeping at night I try sleeping on my side on my back with pillows around me under me etc.......but nothing seems to work, my mom even bought me a heating pad, but it doest do much for my back pain. I dont even know what to do anymore should I stand, sit, laydown, lay sideways............. I havent had much sleep for the past 2 weeks I have been taking tynenol but it takes the pain only for a couple of hours and then comes back. Have any of you had your gallbladder removed and then got lower back pain? Please help? Is there anything I can do to relieve my pain? Is it normal? Is this part of my surgery recovery?
Gallbladder surgery? I have a possibility of having gallbladder surgery, if you have had it done, what was the recovery like, lots of pain, how long do you stay in the hospital, how long are you laid up, not doing much. How big of an incision did they make? Do you have to avoid any certain kinds of food afterwards. Why did you have it done, if it wasn't like an infection or something what were your symptoms and did it help? I know thats a large question but Im very curious. Thanks!
I'm 15 and I have just found out I have Gallbladder disease, what should I do? The ER doctor told me that I have the option of removing the stones, with possibilty of them recurring in the future, or remove my entire gall bladder. Just removing the stones is a 2 week recovery time, removing the gall bladder is a 2 month recovery time. Plus, I do suffer from obesity therefore making intensive surgery dangerous for me. I don't know what to do, I have school starting in less than 4 weeks and although my health comes first, just missing a day at my school sets you back a week. What would you do?
general anaesthetic? Going in for surgery in a couple of weeks. Having gallbladder removed under general anaesthesia. I am not afraid at all of the surgery or the recovery, however, the last time I had surgery I awoke during the procedure and was completely terrified! I have since found out that Novocain does not work on me at all, where as Marcaine does. I know different drug families work in different ways, but which ones will work on me? Does anybody know what I should do? How do I make sure the anaesthetist understand this before surgery. I don't want to wake up again, it was the worst thing I have ever gone through!!! I mentioned the novocaine etc... bcuz i know there are different "families" of anesthetics. I was under general anesthesia when I woke up. It was during my tubalectomy.
I'm facing a scary situation.......? I might have to get my gallbladder out, i have a surgery consult this week. I am very nervous about the surgery...I have a 9 week old baby and I am scared that I wont be able to take care of her. Does anyone know what I should expect, during and after the surgery, and how long the recovery usually is? Are there any problems with not having a gallbladder anymore? Any input would be helpful (serious answers please, and I will check best answer) Thanks!
what is the name of this episode of mystery diagnosis PLEASE? Danielle was 22 years old when her illness stuck. Out of the blue, she began vomiting after eating a meal and it didn’t stop. After the contents of her stomach had emptied, she was vomiting a greenish, foamy substance. She vomited about 20 times in one night and, assuming it was food poisoning, waited to see her regular doctor the next day. She was sent to the emergency room where she was tested for gallstones. When the tests were negative, the hospital sent her home with medications to prevent vomiting. As soon as the meds wore off, she was vomiting again. She went to the emergency room again where she was given the meds through IV and, once again, the vomiting stopped and Danielle was sent home, only to return when the medications wore off. The vicious cycle repeated itself for about three weeks. Finally, Danielle undewent a colonoscopy, but it was normal. Her primary care physician then recommended a special scan of her gallbladder and discovered her organ was only functioning at 16%, where 35% was the lowest norm. She diagnosed with cholecystitis and scheduled Danielle for gallbladder removal. After surgery, Danielle did improve and after a brief stay in the hospital, returned home. Within a day or so of being home, the vomiting returned. As Danielle’s pain had moved lower into her right side, doctor’s suspected an inflamed appendix and Danielle underwent and appendectomy. Again, she showed immediate improvement, but within days, the vomiting AGAIN returned. The hospital gave Danielle a pic line to provide nourishment to her now starving body, but when all lab results came back normal, medical thinking was redirected. Now, doctors felt the problem was in Danielle’s head. She was sent for a psychological evaluation and when that was normal, the hospital turned her away, saying there was nothing else they could do. Now going on 8 weeks of this cycle, Danielle’s family drove to Yale University Hospital for help. There, they met Dr. Pria Jamydar who had another test in mind for Danielle… an ERCP. The test revealed a structural problem in Danielle’s digestive system known as a Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction. Danielle underwent yet another surgery to correct the problem and finally, after weeks of misery and wishing for death, Danielle had a full recovery. *Note… I missed the episode name for this one. Had 2 degree AV block and PAC's? Hello. When I had surgery to take out my gallbladder, I was asked when in recovery by the anesthesialogist why I didnt tell him I had something wrong with my heart. I was told I had "a 2 degree AV block and frequent PAC's intraoperatively---Post of EKG showed frequestn supraventiculoar premature beats". What does all of this mean? I do notice like an extra heart beat in my chest sometimes, but thats it. Please help me understand this. Thank you.
Tonsils ... age 20? I am a 20 year old female. I am always getting tonsillitis. I've had it 3 times this year. I went to a ear nose and throat doctor today and he put me on steroids because he won't be able to determine if i need them out until the inflammation goes downs . But he said I will most likely need them out. Can anyone please let me know how much pain I will be in and the recovery time . I did have surgery before, I had my gallbladder removed and that was a LONG and painful process so please explain to me what I am getting into before I go back to the doctors in a week to find out what is going to happen.

Very Embarrassed.....? Mature advice that is. After an accident 3 years ago the dentist last year was unable to repair my teeth and stop them from decaying from a growing infection and said there was no other option than to remove all my top teeth and replace them with a fake plate. My bottom ones aren't in great shape but i'm trying to get work done slowly. I'm a very clean, well to do person but that one incident has ruined my dental. On the 2nd January i have to have my gallbladder removed. I called (unwillingly) just now and enquired about my top plate and they said it has to be removed in the O.R for my breathing tube and aneasthetic and i can put them back in when i get into my room for recovery. I'm teary and insanely embarrassed and can't stop shaking. The surgery i'm fine with, it's just removing my teeth and i'm only 25. Has anyone been through this - is there any way i can get away with not taking them out. I've never had them out more than 5 minutes i hate the feeling of it......
had gall bladder removed a month ago, still in pain? I had my gallbladder removed a month ago cos of stones. (well one little stone) and I am STILL in pain. All the time. Its not the same type of pain the stone caused but it is in the same area. Is this surgery gone wrong? Is it me not taking it as easy as I should have during recovery? I have twin toddlers so that's impossible. I will be seeing a doctor soon but since doctors over here arent that great, Id like to hear from someone who has experienced something similar? I have pain in constant pain now for the last 2 months, gall bladder pain and other. Im really starting to get depressed being in pain all the time. Im only 28!!
