What's the best way to find the right plastic surgeon for rhinoplasty? I'm in the Austin, TX area and am about to start my search for a plastic surgeon for rhinoplasty. My friend who also had this procedure said I need to go to L.A. to get the best surgeon because they do plastic surgery procedures like a million times a day so they're the best/most experienced and practiced. But that would require a LOT of traveling hassles and I don't even know how to start looking/screening for the "right doctor", and trying to have this done in L.A. would just add to my confusion. Do I really need to go to L.A. to feel comfortable that I'm in the best hands, or are there doctors in the Austin area, or even Dallas or San Antonio (yes, that would involve traveling too but it's closer than California!) that are just as distinguished and on "that level"? Rhinoplasty Septoplasty and turbinate removal at the same time by a plastic surgeon? My plastic surgeon is going to perform a turbinate cauterization (zap the polyps) on me while doing the rhinoplasty. Has anyone done that before? does it dry up my nose if he zaps my polyps? if he just does a septoplasty and I am able to breath better do the polyps shrink back to normal size?

RHINOPLASTY(nose job). Any surgeons or people with info?? I HATE my current nose. It has a bump, and not even a small one. Where the bone ends, the cartlidge suddenly drops. I wouldn't even mind my nose if the bump was higher up on the bridge, and maybe a bit smaller. I know that I COULD pay for a nose job in time, but I also know that if it makes breathing harder for me, than insurance covers it. Can you go see the surgeon and have him check to see if you qualify for the insurance covered surgery? Also, if you've had a nose job, can you please tell me how much it cost and how many payments of what price you had to pay each month? Uhmm, actually it does. Can i sue my rhinoplasty doctor for messing up by not making it the way i wanted and collapsing my nostril? I went in for a rhinoplasty surgery about a year ago. I had no trouble breathing i just wanted my nose tweeked a bit. The doctor was board certified and i had checked on his credentials. I had trouble breathing shortly after the surgery. The surgeon said to wait and it will become better. I had visited him again and he gave me a nasal spray that did not work. I went in to a well known surgeon for a second look. He looked at my nose and told me that my nostrils were partialy collapsed making it harder to breath due to excess removing of cartilge. As for appearance he made one nostril higher than the other and made my tip a totally different way than he had explained to me before the surgery. I am not happy with my surgery. I need a doctor that specializes in rhinoplasty revision. Is there anything i can do legally to get him to pay for the revision. WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS?

Hi, I was looking at some pictures of people who had a nose job and I was wondering about how many milimeters does a surgeon usually reduce from a patients nose ? Can you sue a plastic surgeon after a bad Rhinoplasty? I had nose surgery close to 11 months ago and it came out uneven. Its not very obvious at first but you can still tell. I have had people tell me that my left side looks wide. I denied this to myself hoping that it will go away but it hasnt. When I touch it I feel a bony protusion there. The surgeon is board certified and overall a good one. I told him about it and he says it will go away meanwhile i went to another surgeon for advice and he says it wont. He says all the swelling is down. I left my doctors office agreeing to come back in 5 mos but i know it wont go away. I feel that the doctor should take blame or be responsible and offer me methods towards this. And the funny thing is that i had to go up personally to make a follow up appointment bcause they would deny me one on the phone. Has anyone had ongoing pain after Rhinoplasty? I was assaulted about ten years ago and sustained a broken nose. I have had migraines ever since, so my family doctor referred me to a cosmetic surgeon, who in turn told me that even people who have had rhinoplasty may have severe, ongoing pain. I found that patronizing and upsetting as he refused to fix my nose despite the pain. My question is: has anyone had rhinoplasty for whatever reason and is experiencing more pain than before the surgery?

rhinoplasty question? I had septoplasty and endocscopic surgery done recently but I made a big mistake because I didnt get rhinoplasty along with it. I read some were that if you get rhinoplasty with septoplasty the insurance company would pay for the hospital and anesthesia fees. The middle part of my nose is bent to the right..I would like to get this corrected. My question is if I go to a ent specialist who is in my health insurance plan would I be able to get the ent to do the cosmetic operation and pay him for the surgery and have my health insurance pay for the anesthesia and hospital fees? I would assume I have alot better chance of getting some health insurance coverage since I am not going to a cosmetic plastic surgeon who is outside of my network.
I planned to go for Rhinoplasty(nose correction) surgery! any suggestions/comments? Due to septum deviation surgery, my nostril width got enlarged and bridge got dropped shape. Hence i'm gonna do Rhinoplasty on my nose. Comments/suggestions are welcome from experienced/related people. I have choosen Dr.Pandya as the surgeon here in India.
Can anyone recommend plastic surgeon in LA/ Bev Hills? i'm looking for a good plastic surgeon in the LA/ Bev Hills/ Santa Monica area for rhinoplasty. there's just sooo many to choose from, can anyone recommend one from their own experience, or know of any that are bad? btw the price is not important, it just has to be good. i would never ever consider anything outside of the US!

If a cosmetic surgeon is telling me that I won't be satisfied with the result is it a safe bet to choose him I had a dispute with a military doctor against whom I reported. After that he became vindictive towards me and subsequently i was asked to get a clearance from a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist declared me medically fit for the procedure. Now since getting surgery from the same surgeon is out of question I approached one of his collegues in the same hospital,who seems to be very half hearted about it and says things like-'you won't be satisfied with the results'. It is a rhinoplasty. Sometimes he says that I don't need it, which is offcourse bullshit since his collegue only recommended it. I have a DNS as well as a bulbous tip. Now after dithering and procastinating for an year, after I approached him this other surgeonhas agreed to perform it. But still keeps muttering things like i told you you don't need it and all. Now will this attitude of his work in my favor (keeping his objectivity intact ) or against me (making him biased).He'll be doing it for free. What should I do?
Question about rhinoplasty? I'm 20 years old and planning on having a nose job this summer, I live in the phoenix area (AZ) and would like some advice, I plan on seeing maybe 4 or 5 different plastic surgeons. I'm still not 100% sure about going through with it mainly because I've seen older women who have had nose jobs and their nose looks gross, does it change over time? Or maybe it was older procedures. Has anyone had a nose job a few years ago and it still looks great? Any recommendations?

Question about Rhinoplasty? Overall my nose is straight, its no major problem but it's just that the nasal bone on the left side is sorta pushed in and it just makes my face look a little uneven (a compressed nose is what i think they called it), the backbone of my nose(septum?) is perfectly straight though and so is the other side. What do you guys think the success rate would be for them to actually fix it and make it look just like before or the other side ?? in other words, do you think that it's a simple enough procedure for no mistakes? they said that they need to re-brake it first...and my surgeon graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1983, and he majored in Otolaryngology if that helps. oh and how long do you think the healing process will take if they re-brake it ?? the pushed in nasal bone is also causing some breathing problems, the doctor thought it was allergies so he gave me some flonase but it hasnt worked. the cause of my compressed nose is due to a football injury, kneed in the face, it hurted like hell! i would never get plastic surgery for cosmetic reasons.
