rhinoplasty recovery? Hi, I was wondering if anyone could please help me. I'm getting a rhinoplasty done under sedation 'twilight' and local anesthesia. I'm completely nervous about the recovery and what to expect. If anyone has had a rhinoplast I would really appreciate some answers. Did any of you throw up after waking up. Does it hurt? How long should I expect to be bed ridden? What exactly does it feel like? Any reply would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :)
How long is rhinoplasty recovery time. I am just straigtening a crooked nose to breathe better? have any of you experience this procedure if so how long was the recovery time for you?
What can I expect during recovery from Rhinoplasty? I am having a rhinoplasty on August 30th for non cosmetic reasons (it's been broken twice and breathing has become a problem). What can I expect during recovery? Is it truly a week of down time? What is the best way to get the swelling and bruising to go down? How painful is it when you first come out of anesthesia? I've gone under anesthesia before for a tonsillectomy, so I know it's effects, but how painful will my nose feel? I meet for my pre-op appointment tomorrow, but I wanted any insight from people who have had the surgery before. Thanks for your help!
Questions about rhinoplasty recovery? I am having a rhinoplasty and a septoplasty next week and I am interested in hearing about people's recoveries. How long did it take for the bruising and swelling to disappear? Will a week be enough time to take off work? Was there a lot of bleeding? Sleeping or breathing trouble? Please give me as much information as possible; I want to be very prepared. Thanks!
What is the maximum recovery time for Rhinoplasty surgery? I can only get about two weeks off from work. Is that enough? I am just trying to get rid of that ugly bump off my nose.
What is recovery like after a rhinoplasty? (if you've had it done, it would be more helpful) I looked online, but i want to know what it really is like. When does swelling go away (is it major or minor)? How long is the face bruised? is there numbness? where? how long does it last? I want all the details, etc. Thanks! rhinoplasty = nose job (rehaping of the nose)
How long is the *actual* recovery time for rhinoplasty? I'm having this done in about a month... My doctor told me they sort of have to tell their patients the initial recovery time is two weeks. But that he thought at my age (26) I would bounce back.... Could have outpatient day surgery on a Thursday and be back to work on Monday... I work as an X-ray tech at a hospital... Anyone had this experience? How much time should I plan to take off work? Please and Thank You! :)
I'm considering rhinoplasty but even if it is successful, would there be enduring pain even past recovery? I know that there will be a lot of pain when it comes to recovering, but I am wondering if even those who had successful nose jobs still have some sort of discomfort even long after they recover?
Rhinoplasty recovery time, what can and can't I do after surgery? This summer I was planning to get the procedure done but I can only open up 2 weeks then I have to go to my college orientation for 2 days. I would then be home for another 2 weeks before I go to a ranch in Wyoming for a vacation. Would this schedule give me enough time to heal and still allow me to enjoy my vacation? I would really like to get the procedure done this summer, but if it comes down to it I geuss I could wait untill next summer. I havent had a consultation yet, I just want to see if I should pay for one now or if I should wait for a better time.
recovery time with rhinoplasty? how long is the usual recovery time if you want to get your nose straighten out a little bit due to a crooked nose after injury? Not really extensive nose surgery. I imagine the recovery time would just be as long when I got my nose broken since they just going to rebreak the bone back in place. How many days/months will it take so your nose will look normal?
Is there an over the counter drug that reduces recovery time after surgery? I am having a septo/rhinoplasty in December and would like to recover as fast as possible. Is there an over the counter drug/vitamin/supplement that speeds up recovery time? thanks
Has anybody had rhinoplasty/nose job? I am curious about splint/pain/recovery time.? I am having this done June 1st. I had a septoplasty 3 years ago but this time I am having my cartilage/hump removed.
Are you happy you had Rhinoplasty? I am scheduled to have Rhinoplasty in two weeks. I am very excited and nervous. I feel that this surgery will help me feel more confident in myself. I am having my dorsal hump removed, a graft from my own cartilage used to correct deviated septum, and the angle from my upper lip and nose extended. Any tips for recovery or calming of nerves would be appreciated. Also, wondering if there were any regrets after the surgery? Thanks!
any of you had rhinoplasty in the philippines? who is your doctor and are you satisfied with it? how long is your recovery period?
Help with anyone who went through rhinoplasty?? Can you tell me how it went? I am considering it but am scared I am debating on whether or not to go through with rhinoplasty. I had a consultation with Dr. Mark Erlich from NYC about it, but considering the risks, I am not too sure I can handle it. For any of you who had it done or knows someone who did, how was the end result and recovery? Was there enduring pain past the recovery period?
Can I get some feedback from rhinoplasty/chin implant patients? I'm considering both procedures and I'd appreciate a first hand account of what you went through. Consultation, pre/op, post/op, recovery...And how it's changed you (minus the obvious).
Surgery for deviated septum--how invasive? Recovery time? I have horrible sinusitis; i rinse my nose every day w/ saline and continually out comes all this green, yellow and whitish gunk, and until i do I'm miserable, and often i can't even get it all out and am still uncomfortable afterwards. Part of the problem may be a deviated septum that impedes air flow and drainage. How difficult is surgery for this; what is the recovery time; any complications possible, etc.? I also had a rhinoplasty 3 years ago....would that complicate matters?
Has anyone here ever had a rhinoplasty? How long does it take to heal and is the recovery part of it painful?
Top rhinoplasty surgeons in the US? Who are the best rhinoplasty surgeons in Texas, New York, and/or the country? I heard Jack Gunter is one of the finest in Texas and Dr. Kidel of Houston. Who produces the most natural results? I heard that Raj Kanodia of L.A. is among the best in the world, a real artist, performing some work on famous faces like Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, and Ashlee Simpson. He is probably also very expensive. (And for those of us who don't live in California, the cost of the consultation and the recovery stay may be too much to handle.) Any advice?
I am considering rhinoplasty. Is it painful? Is rhinoplasty very painful? Also, when they are giving you the anestesia (im not sure how to spell it), is it painful? Do they inject it or give you an I.V.? Is the recovery painful? I realyl want to get this done, but I just want to be mentally prepared if it's agony.
rhinoplasty? ***PLEASE READ ALL*** hi, i really want to model, i'm the right height and weight because i'm 5'8" and 112 lbs. i think i look like a mix between petra nemcova, kate moss, and charlize theron, but that may be wishful thinking. so anyway, my nose is like screwed up because my brother broke it one time and it's just big, wide, long and bumpy. so i was wondering how much a rhinoplasty would cost and what the recovery time would be? which procedure should i get? here's a couple of pictures to help you decide, they were taken literally 10 minutes ago and its getting dark here. my hair is also my favorite state of messy :D http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u246/nataliavirch/Photo123.jpg http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u246/nataliavirch/Photo125.jpg
Has anyone had rhinoplasty in the Dallas/Fort Worth area? I'm looking for a referal for a plastic surgon in the DFW area, and I'd also like to ask you a few questions about cost, recovery time, etc. If anyone has had first hand experience that can help me please post or email me. Thanks!
How painful is a nose job? I'm seriously considering rhinoplasty, but am scared to death about the recovery. For those of you who have had rhinoplasty, how bad is it really and how long until you can go back to work in an office comfortably? How long does it take until you can do normal things like wash your face freely, apply makeup, get a facial, etc.?
Ever had rhinoplasty? I am going to have rhinoplasty done in about a month (I have to for breathing besides just cosmetic). Doctor says it shouldn't be too painful but maybe a lil uncomfortable. I just wanted to ask if anyone here has gotten rhinoplasty? And whether there experiences where good/ bad? What I should expect during recovery, including pain?
Having Rhinoplasty & Otoplasty. Should I have them done at the same time.? Ive thought about and researched for YEARS now about having Rhinoplasty & Ototplasty. Ive read peoples experiences. Researched surgeons, knowledgeable about recovery times and complications and post-surgery temporary effects. My expectations are very real though. I do not have a "Tiny Tim" nose at all. Id just like the slope of my nose to go the other way if not a straight angle with the slightest underslope. Ive digitally seen what it would look like for about 2 years now different angles and everything, and Im very happy with what it would look like. It's a natural look by far. Id have my ears "pinned" back and the top "point" sculpted slightly to be rounded. Not too much at all I think. Im just wondering if anyones had both at once or waited in between. A head bandage and a nose "bandage" with packing and all that other stuff all at once might be too much for one head to handle. However Id really like to get them both done together. Any stories or experiences?? Thanks!
Septorhinoplasty recovery and post op depression? I had septorhinoplasty 10 days ago with turbinate reduction. I diddnt have any tip work done and it was a closed rhinoplasty. They narrowed the dorsum and removed a slight hump also. When i had the splint removed the surgeon said there was quite alot of swelling. As i stand right now, i cant breathe through the side i had the initial problem with and my nose dosent look any different apart from the profile look. I have read up all about the recovery times and waiting to see the final results etc but i cant really see much swelling and i feel as if the surgery has done the exact opposite of help me. My nose looks the same and my breathing is worse. I feel alot of depression and a big let down and it dosent help when family members say it look same as before. Has anyone gone thru this? and do they have any advice? I am aware of what every website and my surgeon says about the 6-12 months, it just dosent seem to make sense at this point.
Has anyone ever had septoplasty/rhinoplasty? What are your experiences? How bad was the pain, bruising, and recovery? Did it really improve your breathing, and would you recommend it? I posted this question first under the health category, but with no responses. And please don't report me (I don't think there is a good reason to anyway) because I really need some real-life information.
NOSEJOB (rhinoplasty)? i am considering getting the procedure done after i save up enough money, not so i look drastically different just to make me more confident about myself i think if i were to have one i would have to get the open procedure from what i have researched. Do you know of any new procedures that are being tried out? And of the old ones if you have had it; sharing your experience from finding a surgeon to the recovery would be extremely helpful. Anything helps. Thanks.
Anyone had rhinoplasty? I am in the process of finding a doctor right now. I made an appt with one for the end of the month. I just have SO many questions, and I know I can research online, I just want to hear it straight from peoples' experiences. What is recovery like? Is there a lot of bruising? What are the chances of waking up during the procedure? (MY WORST FEAR) Obviously it changes your appearance, but does the doctor talk about how it will change your smile or the way you talk? Also, I know they make a small incision under the nose above the lip, but can you visibly see it? If your nose has a large tip with a lot of cartilige, can that be fixed? Also, does anyone happen to know of aany good doctors in Phoenix area? Thanks to anyone that can help. please be detailed with your answers - I really appreciate it!

I'm getting a rhinoplasty (nose job), any advice? Personal experiences? I don't have a date for my surgery yet but I've been wanting this for my whole life. I was wondering if anyone has had a nose job? what was your experience like? Do you have any advice for what I should do before and after, for good healing and recovery? Special questions I should ask before I get it done? How long did it take you to recover fully, and how long before you healed completely and you saw final results? Did you get sick from the anesthesia? Suggestions on what I should do (or not do) during recovery, anything I should eat or not eat? Please be specific. I want to hear about personal experiences, or if you know someone who had this, that would be great too. Thanks so much for all the feedback. Cheers! :)
Nose Job(Rhinoplasty)? I am 50 year old ethnic male with a big, fleshy nose which seems to get bigger and fleshier as I age. I am considering a Nose Job. From my research on the Internet, it appears to me that 3-4 weeks should be set aside if one wishes to minimize general recognition of a Nose job. Cost Rica seems attractive to me as I can always say that I was on vacation in Costa Rica. .Would like to hear from anyone with experience of a nose job or general plastic surgery in Costa Rica and how it compares to doing in USA. I am more interested in medical part of it - surgeon experience and skills, recovery complications, success rate etc. If the experience was favorable would appreciate the name of the surgeon and medical facility. Thank you.
just had septoplasty surgery done 1 week ago? I am still going through post recovery. my question is I still need to have the bridge of my nose extended out and the columella narrowed so the nostrils are a little bit bigger to make the nose more natural. How soon can I have this rhinoplasty done on the tip of my nose and the collumella after having septoplasty done about a week ago?
Ok, please dont judge me?????????????? how much time does it take to heel from a rhinoplasty. I'm not talking about a full recovery, I'm talking about well enough to get back to a normal routine. because school starts back on the 10th of august. Thanks, people.
Any feedback from people who have had nose jobs?? My son accidently broke my nose when he was 4 years old. He was sitting in my lap and moved his hand upward and it hit my nose. There was this loud pop and my nose has never looked the same since. There is now a small bump on my nose and I would like to get rhinoplasty to correct it. Is there anyone who has done this procedure? Would you recommend it? What is the recovery time like? Thanks and please don't tell me to get it done in India!!

Ashley Tisdale has HIV? In June 2008 it was discovered that Ashley had likely contracted HIV. It is said she likely contracted the disease from here plastic surgery in November 2007, which was a simple rhinoplasty to alleviate a deviated septum. Though retrospective from November, with an aspect ratio of 2000 infected corpuscles of blood, a recovery is entirely attainable Is this true?

I'm planing on having a rhinoplasty a week or two before the yr 12 exams so then i will be studing while i'm recovering and won't have to be bored at home for two weeks or miss out on all the fun after graduation. rhinoplasty recovery? how long is the recovery time(like how long does it take for the bruising and swelling to go away) and when will you see results? i've heard you dont see results until a full year, is this true? I know everyone is different and each procedure is different...although I don't really know what all is going to be done to my nose. I want the bump removed but i dunno if that involves actually breaking the bone or just removing some cartilage...if it would help to see a picture of my nose I will post one. i've read and heard so many different things. i'm about to go to a consultation meeting with a surgeron and i'm sure he will fill me in, but that's not until next week. i'd like to know as much as i can before hand, and i'd like to hear from people who have actually had it done

Rhinoplasty? does it hurt, worse then breaking your nose? is the recovery worse than breaking your nose? thanks for the replys people... i have to see the specialist next week, but to some it up i have a bump on the side of my nose after a break and know rhinoplasty is the only proceedure to fix it. i am unsure what they will do (re-break or trim it down), but will be one or the other.
Rhinoplasty? HAs anyone here ever hd a nose job? I'm thinking about getting one and was wondering what recovery was like. AKA pain, swelling, etc. Thnaks so much!
Rhinoplasty recovery? I have a little over a week for my spring break, about 10 days. Is this enough time to recover from rhinoplasty surgery and go back to school? When will the swelling and bruising subside? Because I already have dark circles under my eyes from lack of sleep (college….ugh) and I know after surgery there will be bruising under both my eyes but I don’t know for how long. Thanks thanks for all your help and adive guys, but when you say it takes a year for my nose to fully heal, does that mean it will also take a year for me to see the results?

Rhinoplasty? So I'm 17, a senior. My dad has suggested me getting a nose job. He feels bad becasue it is his nose. ANYWAY. I'm just wondering on recovery time, pain and such. I'd be on somewhat of a time crunch. (Christmas break) Like my nose is big, well really big. But it wouldn't be like re-shaping or whatever they call it because I like the shape not the size. Has anyone experienced a Rhinoplasty and had a bad experience?
