Rhinoplasty? I'm 16 years old but for several years I've been considering having a nose job. There is nothing that stands out about my nose as imperfection and my friends say it's fine but in my opinion I want a smaller nose. I just want to know if anyone has had this rhinoplasty surgery, how much it cost and what they thought of what it involved and the results. Is it possible for Asians to go from having a flat-nose to a thin Caucasian nose through rhinoplasty? I'm curious because I've seen other Asians (BTW I'm Asian as well) who go through rhinoplasty wanting to have a completely new transformed thin nose to look more Caucasian. But as a result, they just wind up having their nostrils pushed inward and they still have that flat-nose Asian look. Its something that I just don't quite understand. Instead of just having their nostrils pushed inwards, why can't they just undergo a dramatic transformation through rhinoplasty if they want to have a Caucasian nose? Because that "pushed nostril inward" look isn't exactly a Caucasian nose. So it leads me to wonder, can rhinoplasty go beyond that and completely change the entire structure of an Asian nose (flat and wide) to a narrow thin nose like what Caucasian ppl have? And not just having their nostrils only pushed in.

I had rhinoplasty a month ago and there are circular bones protruding at the top. Will these ever connect? I thought that after a month, the nasal bone should be pretty much connected, but from the front and sides of my nose, you can see where it's not a smooth connection. Why is the process of packing removal after rhinoplasty described as horrible? Any tips for makin it bearable. I'm about to get a Septo-rhinoplasty done. I've read that the process of removing the gauze packing from the nostrils 48 hours after the surger is the most uncomfortable part of the whole operation. Is it really so? Should i be worried about holes under lip under recent rhinoplasty? I recently underwent rhinoplasty, and the doctor made two pretty large holes under my lip. The doctor said itl e alright and theyl heal after time, but im still a little worried. One hole is bigger than the other, much bigger. There is a white residue inside one of the holes. Rhinoplasty? Okay, so I'm 14. I have a deviated septum (sp?), and so I'm getting it fixed over the summer. However, I heard that with that they CAN reshape the nose while fixing whatever the problem is. Rhinoplasty?!? Well I have been seriously thinking about having rhinoplasty. Due to the fact that I have a big nose. rhinoplasty........? i've had a totally unattractive bump on my nose due to a baseball accident. the only way to get rid of it is to do rhinoplasty (surgury of the nose). the thing is: my parents are totally against ANY ajustments of my face. im desperate! i know i should appreciate my nose, but almost everybody i meet always comments on my nose sooner or later. its hidious; it embaresses me and lowers my self esteem; and its VERY noticable. ive been thinking about this for years and i definitly want to go through the process and remove the bump on my nose, but my parents will disagree and would never agree for me to get it. can someone help me? how do i convince them its for the best? im totally down in the blues its not the cost at all -we got all the money we need for the procedure, its just they dont think i really need it. i know people will just say 'people will respect you for who you are and not the way you look' or 'its what makes you uniqe'...but you dont know what im going through.

Rhinoplasty? My nose was broken when I was a very little kid and I haven't been able to breathe out of it properly since. I'm currently 17 years old, and my family has considered the surgery. Although we would have sufficient funding, my family's sort of the type to talk about things and never do them... so I'd like any information that you can give me (so as to present it to the parentals for a chance of actually getting it done). Do you think I'm currently old enough? Would insurance cover some of it considering it was a past injury? Can they opperate to improve my breathing as well as the appearance of my nose in the same go around? Rhinoplasty NHS? Hi there all i had broken well messed my nose up pretty bad, as i was playing golf and was too close to a friend of mine when he was swinging with his golf club. Therefore i went to the nhs and they said that i needed a septo-rhinoplasty. However they did not perform the rhinoplasty as they said they had "run out of time". And have had to wait extra 2 years, although they are denying that they were supposed to do the rhinoplasty, but admit that it does need to be performed. I have had numerous problems with the NHS i.e waiting for 2 hours only to be told that they do not have my files to see my information etc. And now they keep refering to different doctors and now a plastic surgeon and do not know the next cause of action i need to take. So therefore does anybody have any advice of how to make sure that i can get my rhinoplasty and what they advise me on doing? And also how long is the average waiting list on the NHS for rhinoplasty? rhinoplasty question? I had septoplasty and endocscopic surgery done recently but I made a big mistake because I didnt get rhinoplasty along with it. I read some were that if you get rhinoplasty with septoplasty the insurance company would pay for the hospital and anesthesia fees. The middle part of my nose is bent to the right..I would like to get this corrected. My question is if I go to a ent specialist who is in my health insurance plan would I be able to get the ent to do the cosmetic operation and pay him for the surgery and have my health insurance pay for the anesthesia and hospital fees? I would assume I have alot better chance of getting some health insurance coverage since I am not going to a cosmetic plastic surgeon who is outside of my network.

Should I get rhinoplasty(nose surgery) done? have a pretty bad deviated nasal tip. Well okay, it's not horrible(I hope), but it sort of effects my breathing and I get sinus infections easily. I am considering rhinoplasty? and I had a consultation with 2 very good doctors in NYC....both doctors recommended that I get a chin implant. I never considered this before, and I didn't know my chin was 'weak'. Now, I am not sure what to do. When I look at the digital image(which I have both with and without the chin implant) I am torn as to whether I should do it. It does make my face look cleaner, and it does make my nose look better...I just want to be completely happy with my rhinoplasty, and not sure if it's the chin implant that I need to do so. Also, I am concerned with what the front of this is going to look like(this they can't do in the image..only in profile). My other big concern is any complications... I don't want to lose feeling in my lip/chin, and I don't want to have an allergic reactin or something. can non-surgical rhinoplasty work on my friend? She has read about Restylane and Radience... but not sure if this will work on her. Ear pain after rhinoplasty? I had a tonsillectomy, deviated septum and rhinoplasty 15 days ago. I was told it was normal to have ear discomfort when I had the packing in my nose. The packing and cast have been removed from my nose. Is it normal that my right ear hurts. It hurts mostly when I swallow. A doctor checked my ears and said there was no sign of an ear infection. Will rhinoplasty cure my sinus headaches? I can almost never breathe through my nose. I used to get sneezing, watery eyes etc. all summer and fall. I think I outgrew that mostly, but now I just get that feeling where your sinuses are all stuffed up and your vision is not blurry but it hurts to focus and you want to go to sleep. I wonder if rhinoplasty would help (anyone have a similar story?) My nose is not big or humpy at all, but the tip could be cuter or smaller & I wonder if I have that done, if they could remove a few bones in there or maybe there is a deviated septum? Has anyone had ongoing pain after Rhinoplasty? I was assaulted about ten years ago and sustained a broken nose. I have had migraines ever since, so my family doctor referred me to a cosmetic surgeon, who in turn told me that even people who have had rhinoplasty may have severe, ongoing pain. I found that patronizing and upsetting as he refused to fix my nose despite the pain. My question is: has anyone had rhinoplasty for whatever reason and is experiencing more pain than before the surgery?

Has anyone had rhinoplasty, if so tell me how it feels, and the great results.? people with bad rhinoplasty or haters do not answer this. I want to know the great results to get recommended to that surgeon.

Is the experience of having Rhinoplasty better or worse than that of stomach wash after excessive alchohol? Recently I took an over dose of alchohol and was given stomach wash for the same. It was a really terrible experience. I've to mentally prepare myself for a Rhinoplasty. I'd sinus draining once that too was terrible but manageabl;e. I want to know that how is the experience of Rhinoplast in the prespective of these 2 procedures? I had suffocation due to anxiety once. It felt horrible. Please help.

Can i sue my rhinoplasty doctor for messing up by not making it the way i wanted and collapsing my nostril? I went in for a rhinoplasty surgery about a year ago. I had no trouble breathing i just wanted my nose tweeked a bit. The doctor was board certified and i had checked on his credentials. I had trouble breathing shortly after the surgery. The surgeon said to wait and it will become better. I had visited him again and he gave me a nasal spray that did not work. I went in to a well known surgeon for a second look. He looked at my nose and told me that my nostrils were partialy collapsed making it harder to breath due to excess removing of cartilge. As for appearance he made one nostril higher than the other and made my tip a totally different way than he had explained to me before the surgery. I am not happy with my surgery. I need a doctor that specializes in rhinoplasty revision. Is there anything i can do legally to get him to pay for the revision. WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS?

Reverse rhinoplasty? before you all get confused & call me crazy, let me explain...i have this small nose.. it kind of gives me this "cute" button-nose look which is SO annoying.. I think bigger noses are prettier--to a certain extent. I never did understand why some people get their noses done to be smaller.! yuck! so I guess what I'm trying to say is.. would this be medically possible..? or will the doctor look at me like i'm nuts?! Scar Tissue from Rhinoplasty? I had rhinoplasty a couple of years ago and it seems that scar tissue formed on the inside of my nose. My doctor is suggesting I get Cortisone injections in the nose to shrink them. Anyone familiar with this situation?
