I called a local place a few days ago to get a estimated price on laser hair removal and they told me about $1000 for my chest and about $800 for my underarms....does that sound expensive? I currently shave, but its a daily task.....ive been doing it for 3 years,,,,,,i just don't like body hair on my chest. Laser Hair Removal Newbie: I need to learn the basics! Do you recommend Laser/IPL? Why or why not? It's really embarrassing, but I've had these little unsightly hairs on my chin for awhile. I noticed one or two coming in when I was about 15, and ever since then more and more have been coming in. I keep tweezing and trimming them in an attempt to keep them under control, but now it seems no matter how many I get, there are four more I missed! I don't have hours a day to spend on keeping myself from looking like a bearded lady. Now, to make matters worse, my skin recently became sensitive to most products (including perfume, fancy soaps, etc). I've become pretty much allergic to Nair (it gives me an exzema-like rash) and I'm starting to break out from constant tweezing and touching that it takes to rid myself of all these hairs. I haven't had breakouts since my sophomore year, and now my chin is a mess! I'm sick of it, and so I'm considering Laser Hair Removal or IPL. I am a very fair-skinned female, and my natural hair color is brunette. The hairs that give me so much grief are thick and dark- they look black on my skin, but may actually be dark brown (it's hard to tell). I do have some light blonde hairs on my face, but I don't care about them since they're pretty much invisible! I'd be looking to have my chin and the underside of my neck done. Since I'm going to college (and would like to have Laser or IPL done at home, over breaks or something), I want to know how many treatments your AVERAGE facial hair removal takes- (i.e.how many treatments over how long?) - and how much the average chin hair removal treatment is going to run me- an example of how much yours cost (and the state you're from, so I can keep the price in perspective) would be really helpful! I'm tired of dealing with facial hair and want to consider laser hair removal? So questions...? Alright let me start from the beginning. As I got older, I had dark longer hair on my neck and sideburn areas. I used to use one of those trimmer tools to just cut it off. But then for some reason I decided to move to a razor. One of my biggest regrets....cause it used to be every few days and now it's every day or I can't even stand to touch my face. I can't even imagine getting in a relationship like that...the thought terrifies me. Oh I've tried creams, wax strips, etc and it just doesn't work. I'm afraid my only option is laser removal. There are four different areas. My sideburn area (x2), my neck, and then my jawline. I'm willing to use my savings to get rid of this hair, that's how tired I am of it. I've read it takes about 3 or 4 visits for it all to be gone. I have pale skin and the hair is dark and coarse, so I have no worries about the receptiveness. But I'm having trouble finding a price quote? Any idea on the general cost for such a procedure for the face?

permanent hair removal for upper lip hair? I have a problem on upper lip hair and I really hate it. It boosts down my self-confidence. I tried waxing using Sally Hansen. It is quite effective for only 3 weeks. It's true that hair doesn't grow thicker after waxing but more hair grows. Also, waxing dries up my upper lip skin. Whats the best way to remove unwanted hair? I have hair on my stomach, and lower back and i really want to get rid of it so i wont feel so self concious in a bikini. OTHER THAN SHAVING what do you recommened is the best way to remove it? and also if anyone knows- what is the price range for having laser hair removal done because I know it would probably be worth it..

Does anyone know a good laser place where they have actually had a good experience and results? Yesterday i went to this salon where i usually get my eyebrows threaded and than got a patch test done on my arm hairs, I am interested in getting laser hair removal on my face and the lady didnt wear any protective equiptment or anything, i was totally not expecting it and i jumped when she began the patch test. I dont think i am going to go there because i asked her a few questions about whether laser gets ingrown hairs out too , she was like ummm.......... ???? please help where to find a laser place with a good price maybe a doctor even:O

Laser 'shaving'???? I don't know whether it is said 'shaving' or waxing, yet anyway I would like to know if permanent hair removal by using a laser is in any way harmful or increases the risks of any disease? I too would like to know why in the 2 places I asked for prices, one was extremely more expensive than the other... Is there a better way? A safer way?
Have any of you ever had laser treatment for acne scars or do you know anything about it??? I'm 23 and I've had body acne on my back since I hit puberty. It's pretty bad and I absolutly hate it!!! I can't wear shirts with open back, unless I cover it with make-up and keep my hair down. Most of the scars are on my lower back. Recently, I've been using Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub and it helps a bit, but it won't take away the scars. I also use cocoa butter sometimes on my back, but I know that it won't solve the major scars. I've been doing some research and I've come to the conclusion that the only way to solve this problem is to get laser treatment for scar removal. I know it's expensive, but I'm gonna have to charge it and make payments for a while. But this is soooooo important to me, that it will be worth it...I hope! This is the onle thing I wish I could change about myself! So, what do you know about laser scar removal treatments? How well does it work? What is the price range? How often do you think I will have to go? Does it cause any pain? Side effects?
I want to buy a Laser that treats Quitting smoiking, & Obesity? An all in one if possible possibly including hair removal. No e-bay or anything like that. Please list price and where I can get it from. I already have a license. It's not for my self I want it so I can work on OTHER people. Where did you get the idea I was going to work on myself?
